Weber 7129 Weber Genesis II Cover,Black

After figuring out which cover I needed - I had to go to the Weber site to make certain this was the right item number for my new grill - it’s perfect. It fits well, with some velcro strips to keep the wind from blowing it off. The fabric seems sturdy, and it is actually quite attractive.Durability is anybody’s guess. I’ve seen much cheaper covers, but nothing as nice. Weber’s reputation frankly was the biggest reason I chose this.Update June 17, 2018:After a few months in the Colorado sunshine, the cover faded from jet black to nearly silver on the top surfaces. Weber, to their credit, sent me a replacement. The function of the cover seemed unaffected, just the cosmetics.One other discovery I have made is that when you take the cover off, it builds up a pretty substantial static charge. When I put it back on the grill I get quite a jolt when I touch a metal part. I have learned tp pick up the cover and ground myself before draping the cover back over the grill. I still get the spark, but at least I am expecting it.It still deserves the 5-star review, and I am very happy with Weber’s commitment to customer service.

I needed to replace the original cover for my Weber gas grill. The grill is older and the original cover had a rubberized kind of backing which was disintegrating with years of climate and use. It was a heavier cover, hard to handle. I ordered this cover as a replacement and I’m very pleased with it. No more rubber backing , easy to handle putting on and taking off, the material stands up to weather, and it fits nicely too. Very happy with the purchase!

I gave this 4 stars cause I think fifty bucks is a little pricey for a grill cover, 25 for the cover and 25 for the Weber name I guess. The cover is made of the same stuff my $29 premium Weber kettle cover is, also with three year warrenty. That cover has been out in full sun over the last two years with temps from 0 to 100, several feet of snow, winds to 30 mph and seems to be holding up fine with just a little fading. This cover fits perfect on my Gen II e-210 and I use it with the one side table folded down on a small covered small porch. The Velcro side strap can make it fit that way ok, tho the cover will just touch the ground on that side then, that is fine for my situation. You should register you grill on their web site, you can then send them an email to add the cover to your profile for the warrenty, tho don't think it's required to make a claim, but I thought it would make it easier. They replied to my email with in hours saying that both my covers are now noted in my file. So yes, pricey, but it's a good cover for most, not to heavy, not to flimsy either.

This cover was exactly what i needed for the two burner Weber Genesis grill. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The construction is solid, and the cover fits the grill really well. It's easy to figure out how to put it on and whether it is on correctly. It has good weight to the material and has never blown off. I HIGHLY recommend this cover if you have a two burner Weber Genesis.

Great cover, seems to be high quality. Fits perfectly on my Weber 2 burner. The velcro straps are great for keeping the cover tight so it doesn’t blow off. Worth the extra money to get the brand name.

Fits well and lighter than the cover we had for the previous generation Weber we had. However, after just a couple of months its top has already bleached in the sun.

The cover is made with a great and durable fabric. It has withstood the winds that are common in our area. It fits nicely and is easy to put on and take off.

Replacing the original cover made of PVC covered fabric dating from somewhere around 1999. Fits well, but longer that the old one at it actually drapes to the ground. This is made of fabric and quite a bit thinner than the old cover. Hoping that I don't need it, but the new one has a 3-year warranty. Doubt it or the grill will last as the original cover.

Our Weber Genesis 1000 has served us well for many years and we expect this to continue for years to come. The grill deserves to be protected from the elements by a genuine Weber cover. This Weber grill cover is more substantial than the off-brand it replaces -- with a stronger fabric and ample "velcro" straps, it should not blow off and develop rips and tears in the Canadian winter weather.
