Dritz 9385N Cotton Swimwear Braided Elastic, Natural, 1/4-Inch by 3-Yard

Been buying this elastic for two years now and am very pleased with it. I've sewn MANY bikinis with this and have no complaints. However, I am wondering if anyone has tried using rubber swimwear elastic and if so, which one do you prefer, the rubber or this cotton elastic?

I am so incredibly disappointed in this product. I purchased two boxes to make medical masks and my nephew ordered two as well. We were expecting white elastic and instead it looks like a dirty flesh color.

I bought this because it was cotton and I avoid polyester and rubber products. I do like it but it shrank when in washed the garment, drawing up about 25%. Next time I will leave extra.

I used this to make masks. The elastic is very stretchy compared to wider Dritz elastics but it is not white. It’s more of a natural color.

Use this for sewing my AIO diapers and it's held up beautifully. It does shrink slightly after being washed.

Bought to sew a lot of swimsuits, it is better in bulk than the individual packets I could get at my local sewing store. The one thing I didn't like was that around my third suit, the elastic was not one connected roll. It was held on by a clothing tag somewhere around the 7th yard. Wondering if that will happen every 7 yards.

I sew a lot of dancewear and these have been fabulous for sewing into the straps. I immediately purchased a second spool after trying out the first one. I attached a photo showing the front and back of some straps I made using the 1/4" elastic.

Won’t know durability until items made are used for a while. Very happy with the elastic when sewing it in with my serger and elastic foot. Love having a box so I don’t run out.
