Good, but difficult to mount
This is a good product, but it is difficult to mount compared with similar products that I have used. It cannot simply be attached to a wall: it needs a spacer box, which is not included. The reason why the spacer box is needed is that the uplink port is on the back (facing the wall), so when connected, the Ethernet cable providing the uplink and power projects 1 to 2 inches out of the back. You can see this here:https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/technotes/8-4/b_AP_1815_wall_plate_deployment_guide.html#task_CDEFE1DE3F454293B05A04C2B9AC7534Cisco provides a spacer kit AIR-AP1815W, but it is hard to find and it costs $30-$40. I used a standard 1-gang electrical wall switch box as a spacer box, and that worked fine. For comparison, see the Netgear WAC510 Wireless Access Point:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NCJGL9H/ref=dp_iou_view_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1The uplink port is on the top, so no spacer box is needed. I haven't used the Cisco product long enough to rate it in other respects or compare it with other products, except wrt its mounting.

Great WiFi Waps
I programmed 1 plugged the other two into same switch and they duplicated off the existing 1st. Saved me tons of time!

Very simple, and very powerful!
Using three of these units in same facility for seamless roaming. These can be as easy as turning them on and they just work, or dig deeper to configure an amazing array of different options. For my needs i love being able to broadcast multiple SSIDs on each unit using different VLANs, separating staff from guests.I have these connected to a switch which provides POE, but I used one for a while with a regular switch and a POE injector. Worked great.I encourage you to read the instructions carefully if you are opening one of these up for the first time. It’s very straightforward and the instructions are well written, but they are quite specific and each step counts.
