I could clearly see light passing through the fabric. The UPF 50 claim mentioned on the product is completely false.

I work exposed to the elements. This is nice to have in the summer. Just wet it and wear. If it gets warm, spin it around and the back of your neck is cool again. Too cold in the winter? Wear it dry and you have a nice lightweight, out of the way scarf that also acts as a wind breaker to protect your neck from the bite of the chilly wind. Can also act as a mask to either keep your face cool when wet, and warm when dry. Such a nice quality of life purchase.

Fabric is not breathable and is not worth wearing during the summer. If you are looking for something to wear in the summer to protect your neck, this is not it.

These worked well when your a bigger guy with a big head trying to keep cool and look good doing it. When your head is to big for normal size hats. These are a good alternate option. Stayed in place, kept me cool, kept the sweat put of my eyes.

This type of gaiter is the only one that will literally stay on my face and not slide down when moving or talking. They’re easy to wash and just the best to wear when I’m at work.

Everything is great except it's very tight around by the bridge of my nose when worn as a facemask. Hopefully it will loosen up the more I wear it.
