I only purchased one spool at first to make sure that this was cable I wanted to work with. After about 10 minutes I immediately ordered the other 200 feet that I needed. These cables have a very durable and high quality feel to them. After striping an end I can confirm that the whole cable is in fact copper. They used two different tones of copper so that keeping track of your positives and negatives is very easy even if you’re not using pin or banana plugs. The listed gauge is also accurate and if anything, the cable is a little thicker than listed because my stripping tool would occasionally cut trough a strand or two of the copper inside the cable. The translucent cover on the wire helps it blend into its environment and allows you to keep track of the orientation of the cable to prevent unnecessary winding and cable torsion.I have a 5.2.2 Dolby Atmos home theater and I much prefer this cable to any other I’ve worked with. Seeing as it is a thicker gauge and comes at the same price as Monoprice and Monster cables that are either thinner or not pure copper, the SVS SPO is a great buy. The jacket of the cable fits perfectly into the banana plugs I have which gives the cable a really sturdy feel after I finished cutting and adding plugs to each end of the sections. I have 300 feet of this cable and I won’t hesitate to buy more if I need it in the future!

This cable is pure copper and it's covered in a translucent, not clear plastic that is great if you have medium to light-colored floors because it blends in well with it surroundings, unlike the clear ones. It also has good flexibility so it lays on the floor flat. The copper wire appears to be true to the stated size, too. Extremely good value for pure copper.

Nice heavy outer jacket, true 14 gauge wire. Just one thing bugs me, I am unsure about the positive side of the wire, if it is tinned copper or is it aluminum ? It's has a silver sheen. I am somewhat concerned about running big wattage to my speakers or long distances. So if you know for sure let me know.
