I almost didn’t buy this because of some of the negative reviews, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. Honestly, I haven’t experienced any of the issues other people mentioned. This machine is incredibly easy to use.. seriously, a child could make cotton candy with it. Just let it heat up, add the sugar, and start spinning your cone. After a couple of tries, you’ll be making large, fluffy cotton candy with no problem. One feature I really appreciate is the two suction cups on the bottom (one on each foot). They keep the machine securely in place while it’s running, so it doesn’t slide around on the countertop. It also comes apart easily for cleaning, and I love the vintage carnival design. It’s adorable sitting on the counter and works just as well as it looks. If you’re hesitant because of some of the bad reviews, don’t let them stop you. My experience has been nothing but positive, and this machine has been a blast to use at parties. I would absolutely recommend it!

At this price point my expectations were not high, it just needs to make Cotton Candy and looks cute for my daughters. Yes, its mostly plastic as expected, this is why it costs ~ $40 and not ~$100. It seems some reviewers have champagne taste on a beer budget. Beyond the facade, the functional components appear to be adequate quality and metal. I have used it once and, made delicious, fluffy Cotton Candy and is relative easy to clean. My one complaint on cleanup is that, per the instructions, the extractor head should lift straight up in order to be cleaned. After significant effort, including using vice grips on the center bolt, I could not get this to budge. Fortunately none of the metal bent and I ended up needing to remove the bolt and washers to detach the extractor head for cleaning. I tried using the vice grips again to remove the remaining shaft, and still no luck. There is no dirt or sugar locking it in place, so it looks like I will just need to remove the nut each time I clean.... oh well.

We gave this to a friend for her 5th birthday. It is a huge hit! Works as intended. Parts are easy to clean when the fun is done.

Got dirty way too fast. Some of the candy fell out and got stuck in the machine in the second spin. Not sure how to clean it without having to disassemble the whole machine

It’s small in size, making it perfect for countertops without taking up too much space. It’s also easy to use—just turn it on, let it heat up, and add your cotton candy mix. The instructions could definitely be better, but I was able to figure everything out fairly quickly. Cleaning the external parts is simple, although I’m still trying to figure out the best way to clean the inside of the machine. One thing to note is that the wheels should not be turned. Trying to rotate them can break the plastic that holds the machine together. The plastic housing feels a little cheap, but so far it has held up well. The actual heating element and working components seem much sturdier and well made. My only real complaint is that I wish the bowl on top was a little larger, as it would make collecting the cotton candy easier. Even so, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and makes fluffy cotton candy with minimal effort

We are a large family, we use this all the time for birthdays, events and camp outs. It’s a hit with our children and our friends children! Keeps everyone busy, excited and hyped up on sugar.

Easy to use, my 13 y/o granddaughter uses it. The cotton candy is nice and fluffy and melts in your mouth. I have never made Cotton candy before, and from the first time I used this machine they turned out nice. I would recommend.

It's a good and fun machine for kids to make cotton candies but it's a bit of work to clean it.
