Q: The picture still shows the two support/guide rods next to the return springs. Is this picture accurate?

No. There are no guide rods on this press. The picture is definitely NOT accurate. You'd think that the seller of this item (or ANY item for that matter) WOULD put an accurate picture of an item, so the customer at least has an idea of what they're getting....... NOT! All they care about is making money! By the way, this is a bench top press. not a stand alone.

Q: How many boxes was this delivered in?

1 but was all busted open i was home when came so me and driver looked to make sure all pieces were still there very heavy item need crate box packing only cardboard original box wasnt much box left parts were all there though

Q: WHat is the extended length of springs. I want to modify this press to a coconut milk press.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the press. There is a lot of side to side slop movement, my base doesn't secure the press, too short to set on floor and too high for a bench, the press' shaft disintegrated, the press' legs have warped, the springs do not fully retract the jack,... If you are looking for a full time use press look at something better built and get some hands on use of the press before purchase.
