does it support a motorised satellite dish ?

Most people have Sky dish but stream now. The larger the dish the better because that should encompass the ability to capture satelite signal although UK receive Astra 2 . Motorised dish will utilise finding satelite easier through a blind search or manual search if you have transponder location.

Does it have catchup apps? can others be downloaded

It'snot a smart TV. It has limited EPG, good only for NOW and NEXT programs to record. I returned mine because of this, and because it has no way of selecting FAV stations.

Will it work in Guernsey channel islands

I can't see why not. Anywhere why is access to a satellite dish.
