Really sturdy!
This is exactly what I was looking for. It's well constructed, is easy to use, offers great security and was simple to fit. It also came with the necessary screws, and has held up to the weather thus far.For the money, this offers excellent value for money and peace of mind. Can recommend!

Heavy duty clasp.
From my experiences, I'd previously purchased ironmongery which is described as 'heavy duty' and on delivery, its far ftom it. My purchase here, was definitely heavy duty. Came with fittings, again good quality and very good value for money. Delivered day after purchase. Very pleased. Thanks.

Chunky and well made but painted finish could be better
Decent thickness of metal that pairs well with the Maudex padlock, also bought from Amazon. No domestic security will stop a determined thief, but this combination should go a long way to send a message that it isn't worth the hassle trying. I have replaced the original aging hasp and padlock after refurbishing the garage doors. The paint coating didn't appear to be the best, so rust in time may be a problem. Given the thickness of the metal it no doubt would take years to rust through, so it's more about appearance. To be on the safe side I sprayed the hasp with a couple of coats of paint. Best get the protection in from day one rather than wait for rust to occur then try to rectify. Item comes with 8 wood screws and a coach bolt. Unfortunately the bolt wasn't long enough to reach through my (not particularly thick) garage door, so another one was used. A longer coach bolt and a better finish would earn it 5 stars.

Very sturdy!
Very sturdy hasp, weighty and feels solid & aligned well.Naturally long term usage remains to be seen, but certainly feels better than any hasps I could see at my local DIY store.
