I don't think it reads the CDs I haven't really used it but right now it ain't working I'm going to write another review later to see if I can fix it or if it's just my xbox

Very happy! Does what it needs to do! Just switch out the old motherboard into the new drive.

Item is very cleary used and in rough condition. Item arrived with clumps of animal and human hair/dust inside the drive. Had to be completelt dissassmbled and throughly cleaned as hair was wrapped around the motor.
