Q: Will this work on a Chevy impala?

As long as you don’t have MAF (mass air flow) sensor it should work. There isn’t a spot to plug one into. I also definitely recommend getting a heat shield, otherwise you defeat the purpose of having a COLD air intake. It does have good quality material but it didn’t work for my car because I had a MAF. Hope this helps a little bit.

Q: Will it fit a 96 civic?

You will need a Mass Air Flow sensor adaptor, a coupler, 4 clamps and a hacksaw to make most universal kits like this fit. Make sure the throttlebody inlet outside diameter fits coupler of the kit's main pipe. Use a wire coat hanger to map out where you will mount the kit. Use sharpie to mark off measurements. Do these things and you should be able to use it.
