Great Product
This review is for the "QuadHands Magnetic Arm 200 - 12" Flexible Metal Arm..." (Part # QH-200, ASIN B01NCQN3B2). Super handy - makes soldering a lot easier. These things are the best soldering "helping hand" device I've used so far. Way more easier to use - and stable - than the ones with an alligator clip on each end of a horizontal rod (and usually has a magnifying glass). I have one 8" QuadHand and one 12". For me the 12" is a little more useful than the 8". I advise getting at least two of them at once, since having two of them is a lot more than twice as useful as having just one. I just put another 12" in my cart so I can more quickly solder more parts back to back, moving directly from soldering one part to soldering the next. I won't have to put down the solder and the iron and then fiddle with putting the next part in the clip every time. Just by luck I happen to have a cheap but sturdy table with a mild steel tabletop which makes using the QuadHands super convenient.

QUADHANDS - MAGNETIC ARM 200 12'' SIZE - POWERFUL MAGNET HOLDS - GIVES YOU THAT NEEDED HELPING HAND!
QuadHands Magnetic Arm 200 -12'' size is the perfect solution for me! I l♥ve macro photography, mainly flowers, and have been trying to find something to not only hold a flower in place (when I am shooting indoors), but also something that would enable me to position flowers in different angles, and this is perfect! The magnet is extremely strong so you don't have to worry about it tipping over especially if you use it to hold items that you are trying to repair. I purchased a 16'' steel tool box to attach it to which I also use to store two small tripods and a few other small photography-related items. When capturing photos of fresh flowers indoors I will be inserting the flowers in floral water tubes to prevent the flowers from wilting so quickly. (The flower in the attached pictures in this review is a silk Gerbera Daisy). I am sure that QuadHands Magnetic 12'' Arm will hold the floral water tubes very securely and because these magnetic arms are so flexible I am sure they will help me to get the flowers in perfect positions so that I can capture some creative shots without being concerned that the flowers will move out of place as they do when I try to take pictures of them in vases. I love my QuadHands Magnetic Arm and I think you will too!

Great product
Great third hand! I bought an inexpensive steel toolbox (that I wanted anyway) instead of the base because I didn't wanna drop a lot of money on the full Quadhands without trying a hand first. I will very likely be buying the full tool with the base because it works great! I have 0 complaints. It even comes with little covers so the teeth don't scratch your project. It holds its position very well and the magnet is quit strong

Overall good and holds it's position well. Also allows for different clamps to be mounted if needed.
They work perfectly for holding my mirror while I weld. Only problem I had so far is the black cover/sheet that covered the magnet came off, but thats probably just because of the environment I put it through. I fixed it easily with some glue and tape to keep the magnet clean.

A very strong magnetic base
Very useful when assembling small parts, for holding wire when you are soldering.

Great Tool
This guy has one strong magnet! I wanted something to hold floral specimens as I sketch them, and hoped for something that would be hard to knock over. No danger of that happening with this! The magnet is strong enough to keep my flowers upright no matter how many times I bump into the darn thing. I just wish the clamp would open wider as the small size limits what can be held.

Perfect for holding specimens for macro photography
The magnetic base is a nice touch. The product is very sturdy and will hold whatever configuration you bend it into. Solidly made product and well worth the price.

Very hard 'neck'
Not really flexible. Not very easy to bend. If you want very very fine adjustment, this is not the answer. But if you tolerate like 1cm error when it's holding something, it acts stably, and tightly, so it works efficiently in that sense.

Use this to hold small objects when photographing macro. Easy to shape and solid clamp.

Incorrect listing. After a long wait, this arrives and is 16cm not 16 inches, so it is useless for my application.

L'aimant est suffisamment fort. Idéal pour une troisième main pour peu qu'on sache bricoler avec le bout à vis.

It has that drift or give issue that plagues low quality goosenecks where when you point it somewhere, it keeps trying to go back to its original state. Very annoying as you have to keep adjusting it until you can get it into the right position. The jaws also don't open very far which couple with the thick silicone jaw covers severely limits the thickness of what you can hold within. The magnet portion is fairly strong and should be enough for most purposes. It doesn't transfer magnetism to the alligator clips either if you're holding pcbs. But sadly it cannot be removed without destroying it and the gooseneck cannot be unscrewed from the magnetic base if you wanted to try to mount it differently. The alligator clip itself screws onto the gooseneck's male m4 threading. It's currently the only one i can find that's 16" in length but you're better off looking elsewhere or settling for a smaller size.

Bought for macro photography to hold items in place. Works great, easy to pose in position and very solid
