This compilation demonstrates the Everly Brothers' sublime two-part harmonies fueled by a staggering string of top hits as well as their vocal legacy that can be felt in the music of the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, and Crosby, Stills, & Nash.

Best of the early rock pioneers
I love the Everly Brothers and got to see them with Simon & Garfunkel. (All four sang "Bye Bye Love" together). This has all of the Everly Brothers big songs and is a great buy. You will not be disappointed.

ALMOST all of their best & most remembered are here!
This seems to be the best Everly Brothers Hits compilation so far. From 1957 to 1967 the Every's had 36 songs make the pop cart, then nothing charted for 16 years until one last song,"On the wings of a nightingale" in 1984, giving them 37 songs on the pop chart. The Everly's are credited with 38, but "All I have to do is dream" was released twice.Twenty-three of these 30 tracks made the pop chart.Included here is 15 top 10 hits, 5 top 40 hits,3 that didn't chart well, but most oldies fans will know them anyway. The 15 top ten hits.1. "Bye bye love" -- 1957.2. "Wake up little Susie" -- 1957.3. "All I have to do is dream" -- 1958 & 1961.4. "Bird dog" -- 1958.5. "Devoted to you" -- 1958.6. "Problems" -- 1958.7. "('Til) I kissed you" -- 1959.8. "Let it be me" -- 1960.9. "Cathy's clown" -- 1960.10. "When will I be loved" -- 1960.11. "So sad (to watch good love go bad)" -- 1960.12. "Walk right back" -- 1961.13. "Ebony eyes" -- 1961.14. "Crying in the rain" -- 1962.15. "That's old fashioned(that's the way love should be)" -- 1962.The 5 top fourty hits.1. "Lucille" -- 1960.2. "Temptation" -- 1961.3. "Don't blame me" -- 1961.4. "Gone, gone, gone" -- 1964.5. "Bowling green" -- 1967.The 3 that landed outside the top 40.1. "Stick with me baby" -- 1961.2. "Muskrat" -- 1961.3. "How can I meet her" -- 1962.Here's seven tracks that didn't chart in the U.S.A.1. "I'm not angry" is the b-side of "Crying in the rain".2. "Sleepless nights"3. "So how come,(no one lives me)"4. "Love hurts" (first released in 1960 on the Everly Brother's album"A date with the Everly Brothers")In 1961 it was the b-side for Roy Orbison's #1 hit of "Running Scared")5. "The price of love"6. "Man with money"7. "Love of the common people".The bottom line --23 of the Everly's 37 pop hits are here, and 14 pop charted songs are NOT here. But none of the missing were major hits. All original recordings, and excelent sound!Included is a 15 page booklet that contains much Every Brothers information, song chart number, and year of release.

Everly Brothers at their best.
This collection has "Temptation" and "Gone" which are hard to find on other collections.

Horrid Audio in a pretty and comprehensive package.
I write this as an early warning. The first track ("Bye Bye Love") audio quality is absolutely horrible. Their voices are edgy and annoying instead of smooth and attractive.I own "Very Best of the Everly Brothers (1990)" and it has great audio quality: considering these songs were recorded in the 50s-60s. Bye Bye Love sounds great on that CD.I would speculate that someone could not get access to a quality master tape or other source and instead had to heavily process the Bye Bye Love Track from an old LP to restore is to something useable. How many other tracks are like this I don't know at this point again an early warning. A quick sampling showed other tracks may be tolerable.

Everly Brother You Take.
