Love the size, quality and color!!!
Love this dish rack!!! So well made!!! And love the color!!! Great size! Matches my dish towels, too!I just wanted to add a couple thoughts as I read some of the other top reviews after I purchased this and just thought I would add some of my thoughts addressing some of the negative comments. My old dish rack drained on the side, but it never drained into the sink - water pooled in the middle. My house isn’t level b/c of settling so no pan will drain as one would hope. I just drain the new one after I empty it out. Very easy. Easier than my last one as the pieces are solid and not flimsy rubber so it’s a quick pickup and drain. I also understand why there is only one drain hole in the utensil holder - bc that hole sits over the drain pan spout. And the water passes thru the other slots in the holder to the middle so no need to drill more holes under the other holders. I needed to replace my old rubber mat/wire rack dish rack as I had it for 20 yrs and it was worn thru in areas. Never replaced it until now as I could never find one as big as what I had until this one. Hands down this is top quality! I totally recommend it!!! Looks much nicer than the rubber mat/wire rack I had before. Thanks KitchenAide!

Best functional design ever!
I don’t know why there are negative reviews for this product. I guess you can nit-pick about chrome or other things or you can find the great qualities this product has to offer. I bought a red one of these from my aunt about 4 years ago and loved it. We didn’t have money to replace it when my husband dropped a heavy pan on the utensil holder and broke a few of the inside slats off; still functional, though. So, finally this year for Christmas my husband ordered the turquoise/teal one for me. I love the color and I love how functional it is. I can stack so many dishes in this sucker it’s amazing! I love the cup holder on the side and I love how well it’s made. Most other types you buy are too small and aren’t made well but this thing has weight to it; that’s because you are getting a great product for your money! Don’t pass this by because of a bad review. It’s truly wonderful and I’m so excited for my new one!

It's in the details ...
We live in an 80+ year old house with no dishwasher. Everyone eats something different at different times during the day. And everyone cooks! Really, no one eats out; so there are ALWAYS dishes in the dish rack. We'd been getting by with a dish rack that, even though was "normal" sized (maybe a bit on the small side), was always toppling over with dishes stacked. Finally one of us cracked and declared that we needed a bigger dish rack. $50 bucks for a dish rack seemed a bit much; but we needed something study and big. We ordered this KitchenAid, and even though I'm not crazy about the color, the dish rack itself is a thing of beauty! The utinsel rack can be mounted on either end, which is very handy. Overall the rack sits low and there are tons of rack spaces for dishes, pot lids, etc. The only thing I don't really like is the rack for cups and glasses isn't as useful as it could be; but that's a really minor complaint for all the wonderful things this dish rack gets right.

Pretty in my kitchen
I love the color and the size.. What I don't like is that it needs some SERIOUS adjustment to make it drain 'toward' the sink if you have it sitting on the counter, which I do. I have appliances in this color so I'd like it to stay on the counter. There is always something to 'wash' in my kitchen so it doesn't make sense to put it away and get it out again 10 times a day. I purchased a 4 pack of clear wall protectors that you put where a door knob would hit your sheetrock wall and used those on the bottom to raise the drainboard part high enough to drain toward the sink. They are adhesive and I used one on top of the other in 2 places. Other than that drawback of not draining, this is a very nice product. I would expect better from Kitchenaid though.. They should address this issue and 'include' some type of risers for this problem. The side pieces and cutlery tray is plastic but I have had no trouble with either piece.. Had it not been for the drain problem I would have given it 5 stars. The product works fine for me otherwise.

Sturdy, Clean, Stylish
This dish strainer is fantastic. Nice and sturdy, the metal rack sits above the plastic water drip mat so it dries the dishes quickly and efficiently. Since the rack is metal it doesn’t get grimy like my old plastic one did, and the utensil holder is thick and very sturdy with a great amount of room and can be put on either side of the rack. Personally the water spout to drip into the drain I could have done without because of the spot I wanted to put it originally, but I got over it and enjoy the feature.

Very good
Really love this drying rack, I got this because I was tired of my cheap ugly plastic one being on the counter all the time and this on looks absolutely beautiful on the counter. The drain could be slightly better but just tip it when you’re done and the remaining water comes out of the tray. I see some people complaining about the size and the drain placement, but just make sure you’re reading all the details before buying and it shouldn’t be a problem! Works in my kitchen perfectly

A Dish Rack for Real People Who Wash Their Dishes
I purchased a similar version of this KitchenAid dish rack at a discount price club almost ten years ago. Sturdy and attractive, it survived a serious natural disaster, a subsequent temporary house move, and then back home again before finally showing its age. So when it came time to replace it, I found the bar had been set so high that no other would do. How thrilled I was to find it again in this spiffy color, and an open box special no less, meaning I spent about what I did on the original! However I probably would have purchased it again at almost any reasonable cost because it is designed so you can arrange your dishes and flatware in a commonsense fashion. An item that will serve for many years to come.
