This Heron is very real looking. At first I thought a bit expensive but I see now that it is worth it. Nicely painted and life size. Comes with a stake to hold down or use a rock. Move it occasionally, the other birds notice. Could also glue it to a paver and then move it as needed. Super purchase!

Purchased as a decoy to discourage the blue heron that ATE my 5 year old goldfish. It’s a great size and comes basically assembled. So far the performance & stability is great. No problem with color and looks nice.

The decoy is good quality and to me it looks real, however; to a bird, it must not. We continuously have a heron by our pond since we put this one out there: I think he thinks the decoy is his girlfriend. Odd- cuz I think our decoy is a male. To each their own I suppose:

Oh MY! this is the best thing since sliced bread! We loose fish every year from our pond. I saw this decoy in a magazine. I wanted to buy one, but it was very expensive. Looked on Amazon..... The first thing I would tell y'all, you must move your plastic friend around.We started with the end of our pond. We saw 'real' ones fly by. Some circled, some looked and moved on. NONE landed. That is a miracle in itself! So its recommended you move it ever three days or so. Doesn't have to be much. I moved ours on the opposite side of the pond, sometimes just 10 feet and turn it in a different direction. The flying birds will figure it out if you don't shuffle your plastic friend around.This decoy even got some passerby's to get out of their cars and take pictures. :-)Be sure at the end of season you remove the decoy.When you put the decoy up in the new season, put it out before the flying ones are due back. Herons are very territorial.Hope that helps everyone!

Hubby bought this for me as a gift to put into our yard because I used to have a blue heron visit me at our old place; sometimes I’ll catch a glimpse of it through the window and think it’s real for a moment haha

I was told to buy a heron decay to protect my gold fish pond. Ordered it and put it up. THE VERY NEXT DAY a real heron is walking the edges of the pond! The decoy heron was laughing at me!

Super fast shipping!! Packed in two boxes. Received this before I received the rest of my prime shopping. Hoping the fake heron will keep his living counterpart from eating the rest of my koi. Looks lifelike! Edit: Didn’t help with the real bird but still keeping as decor.

I loved the life like appearance and price. My son thought it was real by our fish pond when he first seen it from a distance of aprox.twelve feet. I purchased on June 8,2019. What I disliked was I noticed in a very short period of time;three weeks the colors were coming off the plastic. I did exspect the product colors to last alot longer than that. Since I have to cover and winterize my fish and waterlilly pond each October and open usually in April or May normally. None of my ornamentals stay outside all year. This past spring was more colder and wet,so filter and cleaned and was opened later than usual in June 2020. I hope you change that a ornamental that you know is placed outside a few months out of the year needs to be with a much higher grade of paint. I gave this only two stars for this purchase because it started to loose paint way to quickly. Please address this problem.
