Trident Aegis Series Case for HTC Zara/Desire 601 - Retail Packaging - Black

I am very pleased with this case. It appears to offer excellent protection with the two-piece construction -- an inner soft case that while substantial, compresses nicely when placed into the rock-hard outer case adding what would seem to be extreme shock protection without adding bulk or more than a bit of thickness to the case. Both the inner and outer cases fit the phone perfectly and do not impede operating the phone. For example, all buttons and plugs are rubber covered. The cover for the power-on/screen on-off button is rubberized but it is well fitted so it operates as if there were no case on at all. The plugs for inputs like the charger are rubber covered but swing open when access is needed. The mid - portions of the sides of the case are a firm, comfortably - smooth, rubber that has traction. This gives me a great grip on the phone. I will be very surprised if I ever drop this phone because of the excellent grip.The case adds some thickness to the bottom of the phone but not much to the the overall length and width -- the phones top-side remains sleek. The backside has a nicely designed hi-tech style.I gave the product 5 stars, despite the included screen protector being, at least for me, uninstallable and imperfect. But I was buying a case, and good screen protectors are fairly inexpensive so if you buy this case my advice is to buy a separate screen-protector with it. The company appears to say on its website at FAQ that it will replace defective screen-protectors but be forewarned. I actually did order a separate screen protector when I ordered this case but decided to give this one a try because after installing it - if you can - you do not have to wait before you use the phone. With the better separate protectors the companies insist that the phone not be used at least for 12 hours after installation.Overall this case offers a different new choice for owners of this phone. After seeing and holding this case, It is inconceivable to me that the other options anywhere near it's price-point offer better protection.

There are really limited choices for cases for this phone. I got this to replace the Incipio brand case I had previously for this phone. It was a good case but I really wanted the ports covered on my phone. For some reason the red version of this case was about half as much as all other colors, I was hoping it wasn't more of a pink, but I am pleased that it is a rich darker red. The color actually helps locating it, most other cases I have had have been black, while this prevents them looking dirty they tend to blend in with the surrounding when you misplace them. The materials of this case are beefier than the Incipio. Plastic is thicker and harder and silicone has a thicker front lip. Overall the case is thick but manageable and has a secure feel to it. The only minor drawback I have found is that while it does have flexible covers on the ports they tend to flap loose and not snap down in position, The headphone jack input also limits you to very slender plugs. Overall I'm very happy with this case, feels solid and should last a while.

This isn't a bad phone case at all. They should really correct the display color on their website to it's actual color (just a suggestion) this case is a mild hot pink color. Not pastel pink like it shows on the wesbite.Other than that, I've dropped it a couple times and the hard cover isn't scratched, and the rubber protection hasn't scraped either. Another good thing is that when I charge my phone, it doesn't run hot. Because obviously when you are adding an electrical current to something it is going to get warm, or hot. My phone doesn't get hot even when the case is on, charging. It doesn't make my phone too bulky (I have the htc desire 601)It's a good case, all in all.

I must admit that I was apprehensive about buying a case for my new phone sight unseen, but the whole process was simple and quick. The case arrived within 2 days and I had it installed in just a few minutes. I did some background check about Trident and was pleased with what I had read. The case is sturdy and has protected my phone effortlessly for over a month now. Its not as bulky as an Otterbox, but its not meant to be. Overall Im very satisfied with the case and have no reservations about recommending it to anyone. Now if I could just find ones with skulls on it

I've had this case for a good year or so and the phone is still in pristine condition. There's no screen protector on the front side of the case, so the phone is still very vulnerable to something hitting the front of the screen, but the case has enough of a lip so that dropping it screen-first on a flat surface shouldn't hurt it. The Case provides great protection while keeping the bulk down to a relative minimum, and is easy to take apart and back together, with a mix of hard and soft parts.

Great case for the price. My only complain is the hole for the headphone jack is too narrow. But nothing a little bit of filing didn't fix. Other than that, it's great. Fits snug, feels very secure. I would buy it again.

Its not an otter box, and I couldn't be happier!:-)I would've rather paid less, but you get what you pay for. This is a great product!!!It fits snugg, and seems as though it will last for quite some time. Really quite pleased with this purchase.The shipping was almost as fast as going to the store and picking it up off the shelf!! Bravo!!

The case is a solid case with good protection. However its selling point was protection and compact size easily sliding in to your pockets. It is too large and is very sticky in and out my pockets. Sometimes 2 hands are required as it gets hung up in the cloth.
