Another good WFC Seeker
Loud and brash, Thrust was probably always the most moronic of the Seekers (and there is some stiff competition). He wasn’t particularly popular and not utilised that much by the cartoon or the comics of the eighties that tended to have him just as a minion in the background, usually with his fellow coneheads. However, being released at the end of the Earthrise portion of the War for Cybertron range (I think, perhaps, even the final official Earthrise figure), has probably put him in great demand. Not only does his release mean that the three Coneheads are now complete as a set after Ramjet and Dirge previously came out in the Seeker Elite pack, but he is also the last of the original six G1 Seekers to get an Earthrise figure. Even so, much like the Siege Seekers, Starscream is the only one of these to be readily available on mass release. Obtaining the other five is considerably difficult and Thrust is rare and expensive. If you have any of the other Earthrise Seekers then you will roughly know what to expect from this one. Just like the original toy of the character (and many other versions since) it is exactly the same basic mould as that of Starscream but with a different wing layout. The transformation is, therefore, exactly the same, including the rather irritating and fiddly connections on the chest panel, apart from differing very slight in the wing areas. The reconfiguration of Thrust’s wings makes him differ considerably more from Ramjet and Dirge than they do from each other. With his wings mounted on his hips/lower back he doesn’t have the huge trailing appendages on the backs of his legs like they do. However, instead his tailfins jut out from the sides of his feet in a fairly unsightly manner. It is a shame that these weren’t engineered to fold up or behind the legs/ankles in some way.His wings can be displayed in two positions, a feature unique to him out of the Earthrise Coneheads. It’s a bit of a novelty but it does allow for two slightly different looks. They can be orientated with the bulk of them downwards with the back of them facing outwards or they can be positioned in a way that is similar to that of Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker. Neither of these, though, are actually the traditional way which was for them to angled like Starscream’s but sprouting from his hips rather than his shoulders. There is also some really nice detailing on his wings. The red and black colour scheme really suits the mould and it looks better than it did on the original G1 version. In jet mode he lacks the black tip to his nosecone that his fellow Earthrise Seekers possess. However, the faux nosecone of his head in robot mode still has it. Both modes look fine as they are but it is an odd inconsistency.Hopefully, this figure can be recoloured into Nacelle before the war for Cybertron range reaches its end.

Scalper price!
I don't have one of these but I do have the G2 Coloured version, it's a good mould but not worth £280+The person selling this item is a scalper, this should not be allowed to happen but I have seen it getting worse and worse.Don't give in or feel sorry for them, it's exploitation.Really, it's only worth £30 at max, if that. It's not a £280+ toy and never will be, no matter how "rare" it is.

It’s thrust
An ok entry from Hasbro. Not a fan of the huge giant nose cone sticking out the back of robot mode. They also should have painted the jet modes nosecone
