Q: I have some old barn beams that measure 4" x 3 3/4". Not "standard" for a 4x4 in todays lumber. What are the actual inside dimensions of the clamp?

Mine had an expansion bolt to adjust to the post size.

Q: Is the bottom inside of the base made of steel as well (to allow separation between post and concrete), or just hollow? Can't tell from the photos.

Its a whole plate on the bottom. So post would not come in contact with whatever the anchor is being held to

yes it will - you may need to trim a little, but it will fit.

Q: Instead of drill and put anchor into the concrete, can I put the construction glue for base post patio 8 feet? is it strong stick to the post?

I used anchors due to wind. Not sure glue is strong enough
