Yes, It's A DIY Project
At time of writing, there is only one other review for this product. I would like to dispel some of its implications. I am a 30-year-old of the female persuasion, average fitness, and I assembled this cart by myself without any assistance from the "smart strong man" in my life. I am pleased to report that assembling this product does not require a genius or a bodybuilderโฆ Nor even or male human. Assembly took about 3 hours. I did not install the casters or the towel rod because 1) I donโt plan to move the piece, and 2) the cabinet top, which measures 35-3/8โ in length, just fits in my 36โ kitchen nook. See photos for reference. CONS: - Assembly can be tedious as there are many long screws that can only be cranked a fraction of a turn at a time due to proximity to other parts - The instructions don't do a perfect job explaining the orientation of each piece, which just meant that I spent some extra time double- and triple-checking my work - Almost every part arrived with some small imperfection: a slight crack here, a misaligned screw hole there; ultimately, none of these imperfections affected the assembly, integrity, or final appearance of the piece (some small flaws would be visible if the sides were exposed) - I wish the drawer ran on a track; although it opens/closes easily, the bamboo-on-bamboo sliding is a bit noisy and not as smooth as Iโd like (I will try to wax the edges as a potential fix) PROS: - Assembly wasnโt that difficult; it just took some critical thinking, patience, and floor space - The assembled piece is beautiful: a stunning addition to my kitchen - In general, the materials seem to be of good quality, and the assembled piece is very sturdy - Thereโs plenty of room for the items I want to store in and on top of this cabinet; in other words, it completely meets my needs - For the $110 I spent, I really couldnโt ask for better So, yes. This really is a DIY project--even for me! And maybe even for you. ASSEMBLY TIP: I had trouble fitting in the last back panel (behind the drawer), but loosening a screw on the cabinet frame beside the panel made it much easier to fit the panel in place. In general, keeping the screws less than fully tightened until the end made for an easier assembly.

Surprisingly Nice Island
Was worried with no reviews the first day I looked at it, but thought I'd give it a chance. It shipped pretty fast. No damage. The slats on the base component had allot of glue used to help it together besides the nails. Thought I could flip it over so I couldn't see it, but I couldn't. It's not visible once you assemble it, unless you're on the floor looking at it specifically. It did take a few hours to put this together with a friend. The instructions were great, just takes time because there were about 18 parts. They included some extra screws and all the tools you need to put it together, although it helps to have your own, since some of the tools were smallish for bigger hands. The size and look it good and goes with my kitchen. Specifically purchased it for extra counter space. Figuring out what I want to store in it this morning. The drawer is pretty roomy. Enough to fit my million towels and then some, right behind the towels. Could imagine you can put all your utensils and more. It's not terribly heavy. It has locking wheels so you can feel confident when you use it to prep food.

Complicated item but beautiful
I will start off by saying the overall item is beautiful. I bought it to create more storage and have additional counter space for my small apartment. It arrived within less than a week. To assemble the item was not too difficult, just need to have patience and follow picture directions (took my fiancรฉ about 2 hours, while watching tv to complete the assembly). However, some of the wooden pieces arrived cracked/damaged. I really liked the style of the island so we got gorilla wood glue and repaired it. Even though it had to be fixed, it still came out great. My main concern is the bottom shelf not being able to hold too much weight.

Wood splits very easy
Itโs cute. It holds what I need it to hold. But! Very difficult to assemble, poor assembly instructions, wood split both during assembly and then again in a different location after 1 week of use. Not worth time or money imo

It is okay
I bought this because I wanted something a little bigger to replace my existing kitchen cart. I am a middle aged female, and I did not need any assistance putting this together. It was easy enough to assemble. Assembly was similar to other prefab furniture I have put together. It took around 1.5 hours to complete. Just a note, the back panel that does not "fit" is not too big. The problem is the screw holes are too low. If it were too big, then it would throw everything else off too, but it doesn't. Everything else fits perfectly. The quality of the cart is okay. Not as sturdy as the cart I am replacing. Some of the screw holes looked like they were drilled out too much and I was worried some of the screws would go right through, but it was okay. There are no covers for the screw holes so I will probably buy some or fill them in with wood putty. One issue I did run into is that it is very easy to strip the screw holes. Once you have a screw in, it is not a good idea to unscrew it. I had to grab some longer screws (leftover from other projects) to compensate. Overall, this cart is good enough for now.
