Expensive but clever little gizmo
This weather clock clearly shows the time plus the weather type (cloudy, sunny, raining), temperature and humidity for both inside and outside (using the accompanying sensor). It's pretty easy to set up and the display is big and bold, although not great for reading at an angle.I didn't like the fact that it doesn't come with any batteries - that seemed a cheap decision considering it's not an insignificant investment. You need two AAs and two AAAs for reference. The sensor was placed around 15m away outside and is working fine on the whole. It's been screwed under the overhang of a shed as the instructions advise you not to place it in direct sunlight or excessive rain. However, I have observed that the outside humidity reading, when it rains, still reads HH quite frequently (which means it's outside of the readable range). I thought this was a bit of an odd setting - rain is rain and the fact that the sensor stops reading when it rains seems like a strange design.I particularly like the indoor humidity reading as it helps me know what's going on with my houseplants - I'm pleased that our humidity is only around 45% but it does tell me that I need to mist more frequently!Overall this is an expensive way just to tell the time but, for gardeners like me, it's a useful tool to know what's going on both in and out of the house. Thanks for reading. If you thought this review was helpful, please let me know!

Good clock
I must admit I wasn't expecting two clocks when I ordered this one. You get one decent size and one or the weather which is great. They are easy to set up with the instructions, and unlike some this has good instructions. The clock has a black surround (I note some people are saying it's boring) and large numbers which I find very useful especially in the night if you wear glasses sometimes the clock face is not clear, but this one is great, as well as the time you have the indoor and outdoor temperature and indoor and outdoor humidity, I have to admit the humidity doesn't bother me but very handy to have indoor and outdoor temperatures. Again vey easy to read and use. This is a plain clock with decent numbers on it nothing fancy but Braun is a good make and the clock is great too. You will need to buy 2 AAA batteries as they are not included, and very easy to set the alarm as well. It is a 12/24 hour clock whichever you want and the little clock comes as the temperature display although if your not technically minded the large one does all the jobs in one, but a great clock I love it so easy to set up and to read. It is a little expensive but as they say you get what you pay for well worth the money.

Difficult to read screen
For a product that you want to read information from the screen (time / temperature) you would expect it to be easy to do. Unfortunately the screen is difficult / impossible to read at more than about 3 feet depending on the viewing angle. If you have it positioned with two feet you shouldn't have a problem.

an accurate temperature, humidity and timepiece.
This weather station was obtained to replace one that was accidentally dropped. I like to know what the inside and outside temperatures and humidity are. The indoor humidity sensor lets me know when I should add mist to plants placed near it. The indoor temp sensor helps me set the central heating. The fact it has a clock is an added bonus but I don't think it is really necessary. The display is easy to read from the front and has bold numerals. At first glance I thought it was going to be difficult to set up but it turned out not to be the case. As a gadget to provide a bit of interest I think it is a bit expensive, but it is accurate and does what it is meant to do.

A clock, not really a weather station
As a clock this device is very good but the temperature information is displayed in a much smaller size and is impossible to read unless one is very close to it. This is a pity as the unit is qute accurate

Good clear face but expensive
As we live in an apartment the outdoor part of this clock/weather station is of no use since it needs to be fixed on to a solid surface and we cannot drill holes into the outside walls. So I am unable to comment on that part of it.As a clock which also indicates indoor temperature and humidity, this is a good if rather expensive option. It is easy to set up and operate with clear figures, effective backlighting and a useful alarm function. The outer frame is black and it is strongly- made and stable. I have not operated it for long enough to comment on the battery life.Recommendable but expensive.

Not impressed
I was not very happy with this Braun weather station, I had numerous problems with the outdoor sensor disconnecting, and when it was connected it would display a much higher temperature than what it actually was. The screen was difficult to read also, At the price it is I would expect much better! Can't say I would recommend to others!

Screen reflects glare. Easy to use. Accurate with good airflow. Smaller black box is outdoor sensor.
The photo shows how this Braun model reflects more glare, making the display hard to read if it reflects bright areas of the room. In the pic, the Braun and the La Crosse LTV-D1 are each reflecting part of a frosted window, and you can see that the LaCrosse cuts the glare better. In real life the difference in glare between the two products is even more dramatic. However, by angling it on my desk so it doesn't reflect the windows behind me, it is very usable. You can see from the picture that the outdoor sensors for the Braun and LaCrosse agree as far as temp and humidity. The outdoor sensors are mounted next to each other, shaded under an overhang but open to strong breezes today. When I first unboxed the Braun, the humidity was displayed 5-12% different between the Braun outdoor and indoor sensors, sitting side by side in still air on my desk (with outdoor sensor sideways to expose the bottom vent). This difference lasted for hours, and it wasn't until I mounted the outdoor sensor outdoors (and brought the indoor display next to the outdoor sensor to test) that they agreed. I think the lesson learned is that having as much airflow over both boxes as possible is important to accurate readings.Overall, the Braun has the sort of well-engineered clean user interface that I expect from them, much better than any of the other products I have tried in this category. Controls and display easy to understand.Other reviewers so far seem confused about the small black box with the single number display. That is the outdoor sensor, not an extra indoor display. The black color is incredibly stupid since will tend to absorb heat, which can influence the temperature reading. So make sure to install it under a shaded overhang.

OK Digital Clock and Indoor/Outdoor Temperature /Humidity Display
I replaced an old atomic digital clock, indoor/outdoor temperature display. The Braun was easy to set up, it had an almost instant connection between outdoor sensor and clock. Outdoor sensor has digital display that alternately displays temp and humidity. Unit can display F or C temps.I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because display can be difficult to read in darker rooms. The photo of the unit shows an almost white background but in a darker room it is gray-ish.If you touch the top of the unit there is a backlight that displays momentarily. You can set it to have the backlight on all the time but apparently this will drain the batteries quicker. It doesn't come with batteries. Big deal! The outdoor sensor needs 2 AAA bats and the indoor unit 2 AA bats.
