These Work GREAT to keep my ankles from swelling
I have worn compression hose for years and these Ames Walker 20-30 compression have been the BEST I have worn. My other pairs have had less compression so a different type of hose strength. These Ames Walker hose look nice and fairly natural when wearing with a dress and help to keep my LEFT ankle from swelling. My job requires me to stand 12-14 hours each day and these are a life saver.ADVICE: >>>>>>>>Be sure to get a pair of kitchen type GLOVES to get the hose into place. I know that sounds odd, but a lady at a competitor hose company gave me a pair of "hose gloves" (they look just like rubber kitchen gloves) and they really, really help to get my compression hose into place each morning. After I get them settled it is no problem to get them up and down as needed for restroom breaks.

Great support for early maternity needs.
These nylons offer great support, especially if you're going to be on your feet for long periods of time.I'm six months pregnant and the waist band is starting to become too tight. For the second and third trimester, go with their maternity option:Ames Walker 34 20-30 Sheer Maternity Pantyhose-Lg-BlackThe color of these nylons is rather dark, and it would be great if they offered a wider range of shades. However, these are very durable and will last you months. All in all, a pretty great product.

Great pantyhose
I had been using FootSmart but found the medium were too short in the feet. So I decided to try the large (even though I weigh 5 pounds less than the minimum for that size) but they were too tight around the hips just at the crotch and ripped away from the crotch. So I tried the Ames Walker. Same size chart, same size, but when I compared the two, there was another two inches across at the critical point and they fit perfectly. Love the nude color and the silkiness. From now on, it's Ames Walker for me.

Bunches uncomfortably
I actually have taken these off in the middle of my shift because they bunch uncomfortably where your foot meets your leg (ankle). I've worn them 3 times and each time I have a red stripe across my skin where this buncing occurs. I can tell the quality is high but unfortunately they're just too uncomfortable.

Three Stars
Tight but too long for short legs. I always need petite and they are not available in this brand..
