SB SOX Compression Socks for Men & Women (20-30mmHg)

These compression socks are pricey but very well made, comfortable, and have excellent compression. My legs love them! I like the dressy argyle pattern as a change from the other sporty style compression socks I have.

I'm young, and decently healthy, not super tall, not overweight. So imagine my shock and horror when I began to notice that my feet visibly turn purple and swell when I stand still for long periods of time. Gravity was against me and blood was pooling in my feet and ankles--I knew I had to act fast. Now don't worry folks, I will be talking to my doctor about this. I'm no cowboy. But I'm the meantime, these socks have been a perfect fix. I wear a size 8.5 in women's shoes. Wide. The widest feet you'll ever see. (Actually you won't, no free feet pics). The size small fits me excellently. I was worried that my feet would be squished. I have major sensory issues with my toes, they're not friends and they don't want to be forced to touch each other within the sticky sweaty environment of a too-tight sock. I'm pleased to report that these socks don't force my toes together. The toe and the heel do not have the same compression as the rest of the sock. I can wiggle my toes freely and they can maintain the desired 6ft apart (COVID both broke and awakened different parts of my psyche, in case that wasn't clear by now). If you stand all day. If you sit all day. Get these socks. I mean, also remember to stretch and sneak away for little walks around the office; sitting is the new smoking, kids. Are you anxious? Who knew that an impending sense of doom while simply sitting at my work desk was actually just all the blood partying in my feet? Now, I'm not saying that these socks are life changing (yes, I am). But I've worn them for 3 days and my mood has even improved. I'm flourishing. Moisturized. In my lane. Gently and efficiently cradled by my SB SOX.

Great compression but long and tight around the top under the knee.

I'm a petite, healthy female in my 30's, and in good physical shape. However, about two years ago I discovered when I drive or fly for long periods of time, both of my legs start to ache. So I decided to purchase some compression leggings to wear when I travel (which I'll talk about later in this review). Then about a year ago, I found sitting in my office was also troublesome, so I purchased a work station that raises and lowers so I can alternate between standing and sitting. Despite all of these changes, recently one leg started to hurt at random intervals -- so I decided to ask my doc about it. Turns out it's an unfortunate hereditary condition, and she recommended I start wearing compression socks/leggings more frequently, as well as incorporate more cardio into my workouts. Aren't I too young for this?!? Apparently not. Ugh! So about those leggings I started buying two years ago.... If you're reading this you probably already know that good compression-ANYTHING isn't cheap, not to mention difficult to incorporate fashion-wise -- especially when you're not even close to 40 yet! The footless compression leggings I purchased I started wearing during travel either under leggings/pants, or paired with a skirt and boots for leisure travel in the winter. But I found I had to be really careful when putting them on. I ripped my first pair and had to "repair" them with clear nail polish. More recently I've noticed my feet and ankles swell now -- probably because those leggings are footless -- even when I still "exercise" my feet while in transit. Aside from all of the above-mentioned, at $60ish each those leggings are a serious investment! So between the need to wear compression items more frequently, as well as an upcoming trip with a lot of flight time, I needed to start some serious research. One of my colleagues told me about these socks and how much he loves them -- especially for the price. He occasionally wears them for work and said he noticed how his feet, ankles, and legs don't swell the days he has them on vs. when he wears plain 'ol socks. For the price, it was worth a shot. I ordered a small black and gray pair (I'm a size 6.5 to 7 in shoes), and wear them to the gym with capri leggings. Since compression sleeves are becoming more commonplace in sports/fitness, and with the large "SB" printed at the top of each sock, I don't feel "old" wearing them. They just look like sporty knee socks. I'm very happy to report they fit really well and stay in place perfectly. I don't have to adjust them at all during my workout. In fact, I have to peel them off -- just how it should be! I despise wearing socks in the summer because my feet get too hot too fast, making me feel ill. Luckily, SB Sox are no hotter than standard socks, so I'm able to get through a workout. According to the care instructions, these socks are machine washable. I decided to hand wash mine then hang them to dry to see how long it takes (since I am often traveling in places where I do not have access to a washing machine). Unfortunately, these are not quick dry. But at this price point, I can definitely order multiple pairs! I'd love to see more design options -- maybe some with stripes down the sides?

Great product. Second purchase of these socks. Have ordered others and these are far superior. Quality and fit are excellent.

Actual swelling in my ankles from medically diagnosed lymphedema. These do not graduate from your foot up the ankle then loosen just a tiny bit around the calf. They probably are great for your average person who is experiencing a limited amount of swelling from being on their feet over long periods of time. as for me my socks must be no less than 20/30 graduated. They need the fitted grip at the bottom under the middle of the foot, aup and around the ankle bone front to the back of heel and loosen as it reaches the top area of my calf. So as not to be to tight around the leg it hurts and just low enough that it doesn't reach the back of the underside of your knee. These do not go higher than they should so I wanted to recognize that. It is painful if they stop under the knee or even if they go over the knee. These are perfectly stop at the top of the calf. These are very comfortable and quite easy to get on and off. These are great for a nice cozy winter sock. They will suck in summer unless you live in Antarctica. Lol I live in Las Vegas and they are nice when it is cold at night but I really can wear these except to sleep. If your needing compression sock for a medical reason and it was suggested by your doctor these are not what your looking for. Thanks I hope it is posted because I wouldn't return them after I wear them. I only bought them for the rave reviews and I do see why they got them but they do not prevent swelling for my lymphedema they are not tight enough. I don't believe compression sock are supposed to be easy to put on. But they should be comfortable once they are on.

I am a busy nurse on my feet for 12 hours. At the end of the evening my feet and legs are fatigued and swollen. I bought a very expensive pair of compression hose on the recommendation of my vascular physician and after a fitting by his staff I was left with a useless pair of hose that rolled down behind my knees causing pain due to cutting off my circulation. I read numerous positive reviews regarding the SB Sox compression socks so I purchased a pair of the pink and black in a large and I am very impressed. I wear a 9 to 9 1/2 shoe and my foot is wide. My calf is also 19 inches around. These socks were easy to put on, but fit very snug once in place. They did not roll once. My legs and feet felt amazing at the end of my shift. I had more energy and worked more efficiently. Such a reward for the price of such a simple purchase. I just bought a 2nd pair of blue/black and used the 20% coupon emailed to me by the company. It was nice that they provided a follow up courtesy email with helpful tips and a coupon.

I wanted a thin and comfortable but stylish support sock for a spring trip to Europe. I suffer from spider veins and used to wear medical support socks that are toe less. They were so uncomfortable and ugly looking ( only come in black or beige) and you look like you are wearing support socks. This sock checked all the boxes. It goes out with a little difficulty ( which you want ). Great support and my legs felt great after wearing 6 hours standing at work and after a 4 mile run. The cotton inside the sock is so soft, the sock stays up and the design is so fun with my Mary Jane’s. The color in person is so much better than the online photo. It is dark blue and light gray ( the picture looks beige and black) . Very happy with the product and I now own 4 pairs. This pair, the navy, the light gray, and the eggplant and dark gray stipe( which the photo looks black and beige). The best part of wearing this sock is no one knows you are wearing support socks!

Just bought the socks a few weeks ago, so durability is something I can not rate but from the rest of the things it is exactly what I needed. What a relief for my legs as I walk the whole day ( I am a dog walker) they are comfortable and has the right pressure for my legs and the circulation of the blood. My legs don't finish as tired as before.

Bought for arthritis. Brilliant. Comfy. Wash well. Funky. ( I'm only 53. Medical compression socks look awful !). Before the socks I was taking Tramadol a pain blocker. Now I am off my medication. Highly recommended
