So far so good
I had Lizard Skin brand tape on all 3 of my road bikes and it feels good and gives plenty of grip. The problem I have with it is that because I'm not comfortable riding in the drops I'm always on the hoods and where my palms contact the handle bar I've had a lot of wear. The Lizard Skin is a white cushion foam with a thin layer of a colored skin which grips well. This thin layer is wearing off after a few months to a half of year exposing the white foam underneath and it looks bad, and this is with splitting my riding between the 3 bikes so it is not too durable. So I decided to try something else. I think the ESI Grips RCT and the Lizard Skin cost around the same amount of money but the ESI Grips is a solid wrap instead of outer skin wrapped around foam and it wraps around the bar better because you can pull it tight which is something your not suppose to do with the Lizard skin. The ESI has a little less grip and a little less cushion but still feels good. As of today I only have 126 miles on it so this is just a first impression. In that I split my riding between 3 bikes I'd like to get a year out of it before it wears out to truly be happy with but so far so good.

excellent cush, easy install, but gray not black
other folks have managed to create actual black silicone, but not ESI. they match the grey (labeled black) grips I have on the bottom of my drop bars where the top of them is this silicone. which I LOVE. install is super easy b/c it does not stick onto itself. so removing to readjust was cake. taking off to do cables is also not going to be a big deal. too bad for the LBS who always tries charging me to rewrap with new tape instead of trying to reuse, no excuses this time. excellent cushioning over bumps and better control of bike. if only it were truly black in color not charcoal grey.

Love this bar tape
Love this bar tape! I commute on my bike year round on broken city streets and this tape does everything well. It soaks up the vibrations, it sheds the rain and sweat and looks great even after 5000 miles. The only reason I'm replacing it is that I made the mistake of using the included tape to secure the ends of the bar tape. The included tape will bond (vulcanize) with the silicone bar tape making it impossible to remove without ripping the bar tape. This makes it difficult to re-wrap the bar tape after replacing the cable housing. I replace shifter housing twice a year and break housing once a year. I now use good old fashioned electrical tape to secure the ends and I expect I will get 10,000 miles out of this wrap, unless I get tired of the color.

Got it right the first try
I'm a long time cyclist and do a bit of my own maintenance, but I've never been great at installing bar tape. This stuff goes on easily and professional-looking. Just follow the bevel and hold it reasonably tight. The sllicone sticks to itself a bit, which makes it stay tight. I can't speak to the durability yet, but I am very pleased about how easy it went on, the looks, and the comfort of riding with it for a couple months.

Comfortable, Durable, Wirth Every Penny
Thought I’d try the RCT wrap as a replacement for worn Lizard Skinz bar tape, as I use ESI Chunky grips on another bike to great effect. The RCT WRAP is very easy to install, with no backing tape to mess with (the tape is silicone, and adheres to itself), there is plenty of cushion for the bars, and after the first 300 Miles Of Iowa winter gravel riding, I’m kind of in love with it. Looks as good as the day it was installed, if you are in the market for new bar tape that is comfortable and will last through the worst conditions, RCT is AOK.

This is not a authorized seller of ESI Grips
This is not ESI Grips. The tape was extremely stiff and not pliable when attempting to wrap it. I had to try and wrap them three times to get them close to the desired location for my hand to grip onto. They started to split before I even finish the second side of the handlebars. Buyer Beware of this knock off company. Go directly to the ESI Grips to purchase. They had excellent customer service and made me a lifetime customer!

Premium feel, premium price.
What I like: Feels great, super tacky, adjustable thickness depending on what you want, washable, lasts a long time, and soaks up road vibrations very well. What I don't like: If you like it thick, bar ends are hard to plug in and obviously, the price.

I like that it is a solid material through and through ...
Arrived promptly and performs well after several rewraps. Wrap tightly to keep the reveal edge from rolling up under hand. Pricy but substantial tape. I like that it is a solid material through and through and not coated polyvinyl.
