perfect for 1961 GE model P7 wall oven
This was a perfect fit and function for my old, circa 1961 GE model P7 wall oven. I measured the length of the terminal prongs, and the distance on center between them (1.5 inches) to determine that this would fit before ordering. Even the mounting plate turned out to be a perfect fit.

Fixed grandma's oven
Youtube is great, isn't it? You can fix anything if you look it up on Youtube first. My mom thought she was going to have to replace her oven until my husband wanted to try the element first. Guess what? It worked and she put it in herself after watching the Youtube video. This was so much cheaper than a new oven.

Worked awesome for my GE model P7 wall oven!
The packaging was a little hokey but the product installed quickly and worked great. The only thing that took longer was cleaning the oven afterwards.Worked awesome for my GE model P7 wall oven! I'm not sure what year but I'm sure it's from the 1960's if not the late 1950's.I'm thinking of purchasing another baking element and broiling element just in case.

What is it?
I was never able to install and use the element because it arrived destroyed. My 35 year old son went out to pick it up in the yard where they tossed it out. We have a dog and some folks are afraid of it. So, they toss it out in a safe area near the bushes here. When he picked it up, it had no packaging at all. It was just there with a little tape like tag hanging off one edge with our address on it. Also, it was twisted and mashes up into a long clump of element. Who or why this was done, I could never guess but it arrived that way by the delivery truck. So, it is completely smashed and crumpled up and so we just trashed it and let it all go. It seems that the element we thought was bad was just lose and with a little tightning, it is still working fine. So, we just forgot it and let it go. Thanks for asking. I was not going to mention it, but you asked, so I answered the best I could.

Good Replacement
It came very well packaged and was easy to install. Before we purchased on Amazon, we looked around. It is a genuine part....GE wanted close to $80 for one, the bix box stores in town didn't have them and would take a week to ship (either in store or direct to the house) and both wanted close to $50-60 so this was the most economical one we found. Works great, super easy to install as well.
