Best value professional mic around.
This is an excellent mic. I sing professionally and this mic is very reliable, well made, and great value for money. The chrome looks great, too. The sound quality and limited feedback are great as well.

Great Mic
Awesome mic, I feel like this is an upgrade from an SM58. Has a good weight, and sounds great.

The new classic. Think of it as an improved SM58
You can't go wrong with this mic. The pickup pattern and response differs than the Sure SM58 in a way I think are improvements. But I like this much for simpler reasons. It's just as bulletproof as the SM58, but the segmented protective ring around the S7 grille actually protects it and keeps the mic from rolling around. Yes it comes in different colors. But this grille also is understated and works great under video lights. Slightly better handling, rejection, accessories, and XLR attachment just edges this out over the venerable SM58. It's not drastically better. It's just subtly better-think improved. It's the "new" dynamic classic in my book.

A Very Good Mic, Punching Over It's Price Range
Let's get right into it. This microphone is often compared to the Shure SM58 as every other handheld microphone lol. Owning the two I can safely say that the sE v7 frequency response is a lot wider, especially on the high end, it requires less gain than the SM58, and is great for vocals, and voiceovers!! The rejection is also very good The Cons To me, it looks better than the SM58 but the SM58 feels more solid in the hand Handling noise is REAL!! it thumps like a base drum when hitting the XLR cable, but it's not the worse I ever experience. Very good product, Please use it on a mic stand and you are golden!!!

SM58 alternative
I bought this to fill out a space in my mic locker. I have SM58s and a Beta 58 but needed one more vocal mic so I thought I'd give this a try. To my ears (and those of my bandmates) it falls somewhere in the middle of the 58s - it's clearer and has more gain than an SM58, but not as good overall as a Beta 58. In my situation the backup singer adopted the V7, lead singer kept the Beta and the SMs are now for guests / spares. It appears to be as well constructed as the Shures, although I guess time will ultimately tell that story, and it looks cool also. For the price you really can't beat it.

The SE V7 is the new standard
Incredible product, this mic needs very little EQ right of the box. Feedback rejection is fantastic and the sound is huge. I've used it for live vocals but have yet to put it on an amplifier. The reign of the SM58 is over, the SE V7 will soon become the new industry standard!

Stylish, affordable and excellent quality
One of the best, if not the best, microphone I've ever used as a stage musician! I've had several microphones, but this one is definitely the best, and you know what's cool? It's extremely light, cheap, and beautiful! I left my Shure Beta and Telefunken M80 aside to use this one! It's worth every penny! I didn't know this brand, but now it's among my favorites!

I 'can' sing, and I bought this for that reason.. but I use it a lot for acoustic guitar plus singing. It has a balance that works well with a progressive acoustic guitar with an offset high shoulder soundhole and mixes well with your voice. I haven't tried compression as well but I'm sure that is dreamy with some reverb. Getting off topic though, for my voice which is baritone with range creeping up to other ranges ....this is a great mic. There was a raw fullness/ to the SM58 I'm not an engineer but it had a 1-3k quality that I found fatiguing. This doesn't have that, that range has clarity that doesn't hurt my ears as much. It also rejects feedback better than an SM58. The beta 57a is better for just acoustic guitar but not vocals for signing, and you could argue the 58a is better than this for vocals but isn't a guitar mic at all, ...if I was choosing this two I'd just get this and a regular 57 and/or two small condensers, If you already have the Beta 57a, this and that together are the perfect 2 mics for overall acoustic singer versatility. Add a rode NT1 and a plain 57 and you can basically record anything on a high beginner level..for a total price under $500...I think
