GenesisGMS1015LC 15-Amp 10-Inch Compound Miter Saw Bundle with Laser Guide and Metabo HPT Sawhorses

I only give this product 2 stars due to the companies failure to respond to my communication to them concerning a possible safety malfunction. I am referring to the blade hold down device when saw is not in use or transporting the saw. The locking pin which clips into a socked via a spring is bad and the socked housing made of pot-metal is cracked, how long will it last who knows, it flexes when merely locking the bade in the down position. Not sure I would want to carry it by the handle. It's appears that quality control and safety are not this companies top priorities. I sent via the companies contact us page a description and pictures of my concern, nothing so decided to post this for others. I didn't buy this say expecting a Dewalt or any other top brand but I did expect it to be made well.Have updated this review due to the fact that the company's response to my e-mail was outstanding, the delay mentioned was due to their response getting lost in my mail cloud, they responded within 24 hours. They have replaced the inferior product with a brand new one, even supplied a RMA to return the damaged one. Couldn't ask for anything more.

I'm a 73 year old woman. When my daughter suggested that she and I build my 5 year old granddaughter a playhouse/bunkbed, I knew I needed more than my circular saw and jig saw. I bought this and a table saw. I had seen my contractor use a saw like this several years ago and really liked what it did. It works great as a "chop saw". It was easy for us to set up and use. It's light enough for me to pick up yet very sturdy. It seems to be accurate when cutting angles. The bed turned out perfectly and my granddaughter loves it. No one can believe that we two women actually built it. We couldn't have done it without this saw. I can't wait for another project.

I have a large sliding compound miter saw on a beautiful Stablemate Stand (excellent but no longer available). I decided to get a lighter miter saw that's easier to move around. And so began the search for a decent miter saw stand.Spent a lot of time looking at Amazon and other sources to find a miter saw stand with design integrity. I do metal fabrication and know how the importance of design. I was feeling discouraged with the offerrings then the Genesis miter saw stand came up on one of my searches. It was obvious right away that this is intelligently designed and I purchased it.Now that I have the stand I can say I'm extremely pleased with it. In my opinion, It's worth more money than I paid for it. It is extremely strong for the weight and everything about this stand is high quality well thought-through.I will eventually take some pictures and add to this review to explain why it is so fantastic. In the meantime I just wanted to give a big thumbs-up to Genesis for such a well-designed product. In the meantime I encourage you to seriously consider this product. I believe a manufacturer should be rewarded for putting a quality product on the market for a good price and that's why I'm taking the time to write this review. Thank you Genesis.

I’ve had this for several months and it gets heavy use on the weekends. So far it’s has been worth every penny. The laser is nice, it’s good size. I do wish it slid front to back. Easy to make angled cuts. I like it. I would buy it again and would recommend this saw to all. You can’t beat it for the price.

Unit malfunctioned and started smoking after it’s forth use. Cut between 20-40 strips of wood over a six week time frame. Contacted the manufacturer and they will not send me a pre paid postage label to send it to them for repair or replacement. Highly disappointed and learned an important lesson. Won’t be buying power tools anywhere except my local hardware store from now on.

I'm am a furniture maker and I use this saw daily. It is accurate, powerful and has a laser (which is the reason I bought this one). I do wish the laser was more powerful. Sometimes it's hard to see the laser, depending on how the sun is shining.Overall, Awesome buy, awesome value! All of my furniture was made using this saw. I would definitely buy again and recommend!

For the price, this is a great saw. I really like having the laser guide to assist with alignment. The blade is solid and cuts easily.The whole unit is not too heavy and is pretty straightforward to assemble.There are a couple of quirks that I think could be addressed...after about 20 or so uses, the clamp stripped out. This was a real bummer for me, as the clamp supplied was very handy for smaller pieces of wood. I liked having the option of moving the clamp to the right or left side, however when the clamp is used on the right, sometimes it gets in the way of the saw motor when you're dropping the blade.

I dropped my old mitersaw off the work bench, on it's head, and it didn't come back alive. I needed a new one ASAP, and I didn't want to spend $300 on one. This one got here in 2 days, and I just love it!!! For a saw, it is pretty quiet. Cuts like a pro. The blade seems to be off by about a degree or two, but I just stuck a toothpick on one end since I am too lazy to read the instructions and adjust it. Eventually I will do that. I am using it to trim out windows and doorways and all my cuts have been perfect. And it is pretty spiffy looking too!!

Description says product will fit most 12" mitre saws, well this product didn't fit my Mastercraft 12" with 17" mounting holes. They should put it in the description.

very nice miter saw stand all made of steel easy to put together really like the wheels makes it easy to put it away the quick release handles to move the saw to one side are nice when you are working with long broads like other have said the wheels could be wider but you get what you pay for a lot of stands do not have wheels and i wish their was a handheld when wheeling other then that all is good for the price

it was better than expected for the money I paid it is a little awkward to fold the legs, good delivery service.

I love this stand. I have no bench so this is great. I bought the saw and I would recommend it.
