A great way to expand your film horizons!
In January 2021 I happened upon a Twitter account (@CineChallenges) which aims to tweet a weekly film challenge, the objective being to watch a film based on certain criteria. Fast forward a little over two years and I've now watched 120+ films, 99% of which I'd never seen before, due to following this account. One thing that I've especially noticed is that it's prompted me to watch films I'd usually never have even considered, either because they're outside of my typical comfort zone, or because I wasn't really aware of them beforehand. It's definitely broadened my horizons in that respect! The book features 52 individual challenges and in most cases will provide a good number of different films for consideration under each one - but you are of course free to choose something else if it fits the criteria! It also gives space for the watcher to write notes, give a rating to the film they chose, etc. I have a large film collection at home, and am subscribed to several of the usual streaming services, and as such my watchlist just grows and grows. So many days go by where I'll spend ages trying to select a film to watch, fail to decide and just opt for something I've already seen, a "safe" choice. I know that I can't be alone in that. This book will definitely help when it comes to picking a film when you're spoilt for choice.Overall, this book is great for any movie aficionado, whether that's yourself, or a relative/friend. As another reviewer has also said, it can also prompt conversation, as I often ask others for their recommendations before I decide on what to watch. If you pick it up, and you enjoy it, I'd strongly recommend you also give them a follow on Twitter too!

A simple solution for better film memories
I used to have a wall of dvds to look through, and although I was glad in many ways to get rid of them, I can find browsing on streaming services less enjoyable. Most of the time I end up picking safe choices rather than watching a film thats going to be memorable. This book has compiled lists of quality film suggestions organised in an interesting way. Flicking though I have been reminded of many classic films that I forgot the name of, and will now watch again. I have also been nudged towards films outside my normal genre choices that I should get round to watching.I would recommend this book if you/ want to take film watching a little more seriously (there is space to make notes and prompts for discussion), and create some space around the film watching experience rather than just picking something to fill time. If you have invested in a nice home-cinema setup during the pandemic, this book will help you make the most of it.

Really fun
I've wanted to find a fun way to watch more films and this is it. It gives you a very wide variety of challenges and then room to review the films you’ve watched. Would recommend!

An easy way to reignite a love affair with film
After many years of being a film buff life eventually got in the way and my movie watching lapsed through covid and a divorce and all the stress of a terrible job. I found myself throwing money at terrible films on streaming services.I stumbled across this little book on amazon and bought it for my GF's birthday and it proved perfect. We now revisit forgotten favourites and discover hidden gems with the help of the fun themed challenges in the book.Great fun, and a huge value add for our filmic life.

Superb book for movie fanatics
Received book as a Christmas gift and love it. Already got films lined up for first five challenges. Showed the book to a few friends and it prompted hours of movie discussions ! If you love movies and sharing your thoughts about them, this is the book for you.
