Really happy with purchase

Lots of controversy about this product, but I am really glad I purchased the set. Chest colors are beautiful. They look just like something a student at Kings Cross Station in London would be lugging onto the train bound for Hogwarts. The set had absolutely no odor. The only "flaw" is that the stain under the buckles did not take well, but that doesn't really detract. They are fairly sturdy, but certainly not meant to be used as luggage - really designed as a decorator item. My 8 year old grandchild uses them for all her many stuffed animals , which means she is opening and closing them quite often, but they would also work very well for blanket and clothing storage. As previous reviewers have noted, they come very well packaged.

These are excellent! I purchased them for extra storage, to hold clutter items, small electronics, etc. They're great for that purpose. They're sturdy; no closure or structural integrity problems to report.One thing: the color is markedly different from the product photos. I have no idea how they could've possibly photographed them to get that warm beige, unless they were photoshopped. I read another review that called the color "military burlap" — agreed. It is a greyish/greenish color. But this was fine for me; I think it's a nice, natural color. I've attached a doctored image to show what they're actually like.

I love these trunks! After some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant about ordering them, but I’m glad I did. They’re beautiful! Sure, you can’t store anything heavy in them, but if you’re looking for masculine travel-themed decor, these fit the bill perfectly. I didn’t notice a strong odor, as some have said, so don’t let that stop you. They were also packaged quite securely in a heavy box and arrived damage free.
