Chesapeake Bay Candle PT18459 3-Wick Scented Candle, White Gardenia, Coffee Table Jar

Chesapeake Bay and Yankee candles are owned by the same parent company. Also Soy Blend tells it like it is. A blend of little soy. It does smell good but not strong It only scents a small portion of my house. It is a pretty candle and I got it on sale. I would probably not pay the full price.

Everything about this candle is fantastic, even though it is more expensive, it's worth it. The wooden lid was broken, I am sure it was thru transit and I don't blame Chesapeake Bay for that. I have purchased this before and will purchase again.

I ordered the 19.5 oz. Milk & Honey and there are a number of things that I love about this candle. I love the look of the jar as it has a very elegant design to it. I like that it is a glass jar with a milky look to it which makes it very easy to put with any décor. The lid is wood and the way the top of the lid is designed I can use it as a coaster and I put the whole candle on the lid and by doing this gives the candle another look that works. I love how versatile the candle can be whether you have the lid on the top of the candle when you are not using it, to putting the lid on the bottom to set the candle on while it is burning. I was nervous about the Milk & Honey as my home is normally scented with cinnamon type scents which my husband favors more. When I lit the candle and had it burning for a few minutes I fell instantly in love with the way it smelled and the way it made the house feel warm and welcoming. This is not our first Chesapeake Bay Candle, the last candle we had which was my first one from this company was the White Gardenia in the tin. We really like the way both candles smell and I was surprised that the guy who normally likes the Cinnamon type candle actually liked these. My husband knows how much I love candles and when I say love candles I mean love Yankee Candles but after trying these two candles I may have found my new favorite candle company.

I love burning fir candles in the winter and especially around Christmas. We opted for allergy and financial reasons to get fake tree and I miss the smell of evergreens. I took a chance on this candle after finally burning through a bunch of other ones (and different brands) I bought before COVID hit. Overall the smell is lovely but it isn't as strong as I would prefer, which is surprising given some of the other scents I burned from them. I think I'll switch back to Scentsational or Threshold for pine smells since those have been stronger than Chesapeake Bay

I purchased the coffee table size candle with three wicks in the Blood Orange scent. So when I review a product I give context. We have a pretty open floor plan where the kitchen opens into the dinning room (where I place candles) & into the living room with large arched doorways. Because of this the scent isn't contained into one room. The scent is mild & a nice background scent, not overpowering. Though the description lists several citrus/fruit oils as the primary scents it definitely has a floral scent (passion flower only floral listed). Love the idea of cleaning out the wax & repurposing the container it is quite cute. The quality of the wax seems to be good, even melting. Issues with the description: wood lid (composite board, really thick/dense cardboard), "candles should not be burned for more than 4 hours at a time" per amazon description (bottom of jar says 2 hours). General rule candles should burn one hour for every 1" in diameter of the candle. When burning candles if you don't let them burn till the wax is melted to the edges it creates a pool or indentation, this then limits the life of the candle as it won't ever melt further out then that point. This candle is close to 5" across, exceeding the 2 hour (per label) & 4 hour (per amazon description).

The candle looks and smells great however when I blow out the flame the wick is still lit (orange glow) and I have to put the lid on to put it out completely.

I purchased the chestnut and acorn scent on a whim after researching the best fall-scented candles. I'm so glad I did! The scent is cozy and comforting, but not stinky or overwhelming. I've bought two of these for myself and gifted one to my brother after he complimented the scent. I would recommend some good candle tools to keep it from tunneling. Overall, I will buy it again!

Burns long and generates just the right amount of fragrance. Lots of other great scents to choose from in this line, but this one is my favourite.

Scratches on bottle. Looks like old stock. Oil spots on the cover. Smells nice but have not lit yet. Buying as gift. As mentioned on other reviews it’s a Yankee candle.
