Can a short person (5'3") read the "eye level" digital numbers of one's weight or will it be too high for them to see?

I am also 5'3" and have no problem reading the numbers on the readout.

does the scale come with the AC adapter?

The scale we purchased came equipped with a 120V adapter (model ADPT31). We only use the battery component of this scale. Works well for a long period of time.

Does it need calibration? Do you have to buy an AC adapter?

It's already calibrated by the manufacture. You can verify. It does not need an AC adapter. It only uses AA batteries which comes in the box.

Accurate and Repeatable

Excellentt scale. Identical to the ones in my Doctor's offices. Calibrated and very accurate. Also, very fast readout that is consistent and repeatable. Assembly was pretty straight forward (especially if you have experience with Ikea ). It looks nice and takes up a reasonable amount of space. Less space than my prior Detecto Balance Beam scale.

Great for medical offices

Got the Adapter!

The scale was packaged nicely. Laid out the sections as the owners manual indicated. The manual really did a great job of explaining the assembly and it did provide side notes of things to be aware of. Based on the reviews I read prior to making the purchase I included the adapter - ADPT31! There was one review which stated about plugging in the adapter wire during assembly. I can definitely see why! The pre-wired PORT wire plugs into the side of wheel base. I can definitely see why! It's in a tricky spot once assembled. If you DO THIS step then if you need to plug your adapter into the base - it's ready to go!! I've included a picture of the external jack for the adapter. The port wire is inside behind the jack. I did watch a you tube video prior to assembly and that cleared everything up. It took me about 30-40 minutes, double checking every step.

Phenomenal scale

I went for the doctors for my physical and I asked them what scale they used and they use the scale. For accuracy I put a 5 pound bag of flour on it and it was exactly 5 pounds. I have another Dr. scale that you have to balance and it cannot compare to this one and this one is exceptional you won’t be disappointed
