Dog Training Device - Air

We have a Pomeranian dog that lives next door to us. As cute as this little dog is, her consistent barking was driving me nuts! She is quiet when her owners are home but as soon as they leave, she barks constantly. They leave her outside all day and bring her in at bedtime so her barking started at about 6:15 am (when they leave for work) and ended late afternoon. I had researched several different items and wasn't sure on any of them. Due to the high rating of this, I decided to give it a try. To my complete amazement, this product worked pretty much instantly. We are on day 2 of using it and I cannot believe how much more peaceful my house is. I opened my window (she is about 20 feet away) and said "no" in a stern voice, and she continued to bark, I then gave 1 short blast of co2 and she quieted down instantly. She then started to bark again and I again said "no" and gave another short blast of co2. That was the end of her barking! I have had to do this 2 additional times, once more yesterday and once this morning. I can also walk out into my yard and she hasn't barked at me once, where she used to bark constantly. I don't know how this exactly works but I know that it works! The sound it emits is just a hiss of air.

I really enjoyed using the product for about a month. After that the valve just gave up and emptied the can in one slow leak. There is another version available out there but it's the same issue. I think the concept is great and when it works it's super useful and effective. The engineering is shoddy and quality control is lacking. Will not buy another one. Too bad, i really wanted to love this.

This amazing little tool has transformed my dog into one that actually listens. It has literally changed my life. One of our dogs has a serious anxiety disorder. When he is anxious he does not even hear commands. The pet convincer is enough to catch his attention and slow him down long enough to listen. It has transformed a very destructive dog to a nice pet in a manner of weeks. It is also a gentle corrector that causes no harm to the dog. You will still need to work with your pet and train him to act the way you expect him to, but this helps them know when to listen to you. It was recommended by a pet behavior specialist we are working with, and I'm so glad I bought it. He's such a sweet boy now!

These were recommended by our dog's trainer, and they're great! I've tried another brand that comes in a little one-time use aerosol can. It works, but I hate the waste. I got these because I figured getting refills would be easy. So far, that hasn't proved to be the case, unfortunately (one seller on Amazon who sells CO2 cartridges as being compatible with this device is NOT on the up-and-up...anyhow). If I can get refills, awesome. As of right now, though, I'm stuck with two Pet Convincers and no compatible CO2 cartridges... UPDATE: I’ve discovered this device is almost identical in appearance to devices used for clearing out HVAC lines. The cost is similar, but the quality of the HVAC related device I purchased is much better. Save yourself the money and do a search for those instead

The concept is excellent and when you have air it works fine but the small bottles just don't last. Additionally the original nozzle doesn't work the best for most dogs but they do sell a nozzle that is louder. I just think for the price, it's cheaper than buying cans of air but for me this is a $15 product and not $30 plus.

I like what the product does. With just a day of using it with my bulldog mix rescue dog, she was learning to break her attention from my chickens and ducks, and neighborhood squirrels and rabbits with just a simple No! from me. Well, I used up one cartridge the first day. The web site says 25-35 blasts depending on how it is used. I had no problem with that. Well, the next morning she had an appointment to be spayed. Set up the other new cartridge that came in the package to be ready for the trip to the vet. She got a bit antsy outside the vet with all the sounds and smells so I hit the trigger for a blast of air. Nothing!! It was a complete dud. OK, aggravating but not the end of the world. She was going to be out of commission for a few days recuperating so I ordered a 10 pack of the cartridges. A couple days later the cartridges showed up and I happily screwed in one looking forward to a good training session. PFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTT -- all the compressed gas blew out in about 3 seconds as I was screwing it in. Ice forming everywhere from the cold gas.... Hmmmmm. Maybe I screwed it in too slowly (didn't think so but benefit of the doubt and all that...). Screwed in another and gas blew out both through the nozzle and around where the cartridge screws in and should seal. I went ahead, after taking a deep breath, and tried one more in case I was completely brain dead (I was - for trying again :) ) with the same results. Left a message at the Pet Convincer site but no response. So, to sum up -- it is a great idea but the quality of the device leaves a whole lot to be desired since it would no longer work correctly after using one cartridge. I am returning it and I guess I will just eat the order for the 10 cartridges (7 good ones left)...... Update: I have a message on my phone from the Pet Convincer folks. I will try to contact them tomorrow and see what we can resolve. I would really like to get it working correctly. Fingers crossed!! Update #2: Just received a call from Karen and they are going to replace my unit and the wasted cartridges!! So, I have changed the rating to 3 stars pending the exchange. If the new unit works as it is supposed to, I will definitely rate the product a 5. So far, seems to be good customer support....... Update #3 (and final, I hope!!): I received a replacement PC in the mail today along with replacements for the 4 CO2 cartridges I wasted. Hopefully this one continues to work correctly. As I mentioned int he first line of my review, I like what this product does..... I just had a problem that it quit working so quickly. I'm hoping that I just got a dud and this one continues to work correctly!!!

Edit: bought my 3rd one of these. This one lasted even less then the first. Went to screw on the air and it’s already broken. Only lasted a few months before it broke. Great tool when used correctly. Now as soon as I attach a new can of air it just drains all the air out right away instead of being able to use as a corrector.

I have used the pet corrector before. Cones in a red can let's out a blast of co2 and somewhat of a hiss slight whistle type sound..gets the dogs attention. I thought I'd try the convincer since I wouldn't need a need to buy a new can everytime just the cartridge. Well this thing barely let's air out there no hiss or whistle complete garbage and whe I contacted the seller they offered my 10% of what I payed ($65+ and $16+ shipping) and I could keep the product and give to someone or I could pay for the return postage send the product back and they'd refund 20% of what I payed. Now maybe if it was because I didn't like the color or something beyond their control but bottom line they 100% garunteed it to work and I watched a video about it and its nothing like what they advertise and still im beat for my money and I can't give it away its useless defective or something but I gotta eat it I guess? Beware of this product and the seller quite frankly they're both completely useless.

It works! Our dog just has to see it to correct his behaviour. So harmless and sooo effective.

Cant find refills for this item so not worth getting

Didn't really do much for my dogs jumping . But Maybe in time it might . But I was expecting a quicker reaction like the ads say.
