Tapco Intrafuse AK-47 Bolts & Nuts Build Set get Texas-Size "Thumbs Up"..
The period of time it took for the Screw set to arrive seemed like a lifetime but was actually about 8 days...I was anxious to begin mounting an AK 47 side mount plate onto my wife's platform...After selecting the length of screws and the correct Allen wrench I removed the rcvr. dust cover, return spring, BCG and safety lever...I carefully measured and began drilling the mount-holes into the AK's receiver body...Drilling went without a hitch..The screws dropped perfectly into place and began installing the low profile 'nuts' to each screw. Everything went smooth until it came time to install the 'middle screw' nut....Attempts to center the nut onto the middle screw was frustrating but after a cold 'brewski' and thinking about it...I finally relaxed enough to accomplish the task...VERDICT: the Allen type screw heads look great, the 'nuts' locked down tightly with a tab of locking gel, job was completed in about 15 mins. minus the Brewski Break....The removed rifle components were reinstalled quickly without any issues or interference from the shaft of two bolts...A light touch from my Dremel to the 3rd bolt in the magazine-well was all it took to get the metal cartridge magazine's insertion and removal be smooth as silk..Ya need to see the grin on my face (a sly possum grin)...and especially my wife's face with her AK scope side mount with 'red dot' optic sitting on her new side-blade mounts (it's a Texas size biggun').

Great Way To Build an AK-74
Because I was building a AK-74 which has less recoil than a AK-47 I felt that I would try a screw build. This was really my only choice as I didn't have the tools or money to gather together the resources for a rivet build. The build went very well and to date have put over 400 rounds through the rifle and see no problems with the screws holding.I worked by myself, with a lot of help from youtube, in my garage to complete this build. I would recommend a screw build for your first build.

Hellz yeah.
Had to de-mill the rear trunnion on my STG-2000C. They were supposed to be a temporary solution, but after adding a couple of them, I ended up replacing ALL the rivets with these. Now the gun has a nice tight action and the archangel stock finally sits perfectly flush. Really good quality and finish; tough to thread; just be careful not to strip the heads by tightening too quickly. I did that with my first couple.

the's great for screws but i ended up riveting the build ...
everything was there, the's great for screws but i ended up riveting the build anyway. they shifted more than i liked and no amount of tightening seemed to work for my situation. even used lock tight and wrecked my allen wrench on them and no luck. on the bright side i have the drill, taps and blued screws for future projects. i don't care what you read or seen on the internet, just rivet your ak's people.

Worthless
my pins were sliding out, thought that this would work as a replacement with a few extras, whatever. Literally doesn't fit. The trigger retaining pin (?) part doesn't even go through and it's not even threaded for the screws. The kicker ? The trigger is made by tapco. It's their g2 to be compliant with that 922fr import rule. So the company doesn't even make it so it goes through their own trigger. Do not waste your money.

inventory your purchase
I have used these before with great success but this latest kit was missing 1 screw and 4 mag release screws were different and not the right thread pitch for the nuts. I get these to save time and not go to the hardware store hunting small fasteners. Not the sellers fault just tapco.

Works
Ok, threads are a bit soft, could be a harder grade material. Works though. Not as well as a rivet

Packaging Issues
I had to return 3 sets of these because all three came in missing parts. The manufacturers package on each was open at the bottom and the screws fell out into the amazon box. The amazon box is not sealed on the corners so the screws fell out of it also. The center support is not threaded but is easy to thread with a tap and a set of vise grip pliers. There have been complaints of these center supports not holding up so after I tapped the threads in it I heat treated it. This will keep it from bending on you.
