It’s hard to review supplements. I can’t test the iodine quantity and they never have such a huge effect that you can undeniably confirm the benefits. I will update this review in a few months if I can confirm something one way or the other. For now I will stick to the immediately noticeable pros and cons.Pros…These have the recommended daily allowance for iodine. Every other tablet I have found on Amazon is like a million times the RDA. That seems nuts. This is much better and I am confident I won’t OD on iodine with these. Also, the tablets are small, easy to swallow and don’t have any real taste.Cons…They come in a plastic bag. I am guessing this is a cost saving thing but I would prefer a pill bottle of some sort. That would make them feel more “proper”. Consider this alongside the fact that the tablets / pills themselves are generic dusty white pills and it all seems a little suspect. I’m sure they are fine but you can’t help thinking that these could be nothing but chalk. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think they are, it’s just that they don’t come across the same as supplements you buy from high street stores.

These are small round pills that are easy to swallow and 90 gives a 3 month's supply, which makes them good value at £4.99 (at the time of writing). They are tasteless and odourless as far as I could tell.Iodine is good for the thyroid gland, which means that they could help with weight loss if your problem is due to an underactive thyroid; for those not suffering from hypothyroidism, they won't help with weight loss. Iodine is also good for removing toxins from the body and it is a good idea to take a course whenever you hear about some nuclear plant having some sort of accident as iodine is what they give people when they are involved in such accidents. For those of us not living that close, it can be worth it just in case it's on the wind and at a fiver for 3 months it couldn't hurt. Iodine also helps to give the immune system a boost, which is a good idea during the winter months.We used to be able to get salt with iodine but we haven't seen it in the supermarkets for a few years now so we have to take a supplement in order to get these benefits nowadays. I don't take it all the time, I just take a course every now and again.

I had two packs delivered today and the best before date is April. This is supposed to be a 3 month supply, yet its March and they are past their best by April.Waste if money, will NOT recommend or buy again.

I am not a vegan, but I am on a very restrictive diet that means I do not get much iodine from my food. I eat very little meat and cannot tolerate dairy often. I had a scan 3 years ago and there was a nodule and cyst on my thyroid gland, the promised follow up did not occur due to the pandemic. I feel tired and sluggish all the time and I am struggling to lose weight despite eating very little. When given the chance to try these iodine supplements I read a little about iodine and decided it was worth a try. They are 150mcg which is the recommended daily dose, it is safe. They are packaged in a bag; I prefer this as it fits through the letter box, and it takes up very little space. I only need to take one a day which is convenient as I can take with my main meal. I have been taking these for a few days now and have had no side effects, too early to tell how these will affect my metabolism but I do feel generally better in myself all ready. Very good value.
