Used this to determine surface temperatures in hot hot Texas summer heat, as well as testing residential and commercial air conditioning equipment ranging from 25 F to 150 F and haven't had any issues. I've checked against thermometers on automobile and computer components and the readings were always <3% difference between models. Could probably use on humans, but people don't usually respond well to lasers being pointed at them.

This is awesome - and yes, you will start checking the temperature on everything once you get it.

This is a very easy thermometer to use. I keep testing everything. water temp coming out of faucet. Temp of blinds on east side of house in morning (it's hot in the Bathroom in the morning). Temp of air coming out of AC vent. I like that I an adjust the emissivity.The manual that comes with the thermometer requires a microscope to read. And unfortunately the URL on the back where it says you can download the PDF directs you to their site where I cannot find any documents to download. It's not a big deal. I just wanted it for the emissive chart and can find many sites that have this information.

Relatively well made, battery included. A couple of different modes, with or without laser, C and F, etc.. Seems to be accurate, and it is a handy unit to have to measure your blackstone griddle/hot-plate grill, your ooni pizza oven, your smoker, your charcoal grill, your skillet or your frying pan. I bought this to try to use it for asphalt temps on a paving job and it will not give me any kind of a good reading. It’s often 20 deg F of what it should be. Don’t buy this!

This has the ability to adjust depending on what you're pointing at. It's supposed to make it more accurate, but it's somewhat of a pain, so I just shoot it in the standard setting.
