Family friendly
Family of 4 using this! It’s great, just wish it were easier to inflate and deflate. I would advise others to get a motor to inflate and deflate.

Great fit for a family of 5!
This made our Summer so much more fun!! We're a family of 5, kids were aged from 3-10 and everyone fit comfortably. It withheld daily use on the lake with my husband rowing us all around. On the last day of the second camping trip (probably 6th day of hard use), it wouldn't keep fully inflated anymore. Also, the seats managed to get loose and we had to reattach quite often. Overall, we definitely got our moneys worth and it was great fit for 3 kids and 2 adults.

Tough Inflatable
We took this on Yosemite float trips twice. With myself, my wife and 3 kids under 10 years old, there was ample space. This inflatable can take abuse! We went over some shallow areas with rocks and logs with no puncture. Friends with less expensive rafts did not fair well the prior years and the Intex rafts were recommended. Our group had Mariner 4's and 3's. After spending time on the other rafts, what the Excursion 5 lacks are the studier ribbed floor insert and the ability to position the paddles parallel to the raft while attached so that they're out of the water. Those are actually huge benefits compared to the Excursion 5. So if you don't need the extra space, go with the smaller Mariners. Also, the middle seat in the Mariner, without a seat back or sturdy floor, it can be uneasy on an adults back after a couple hours on it.

Might as well buy it, it’s worth cost
This thing is great, I was weary at first as it is so affordable it man it was a blast to take my wife and our dogs out on the lake, it held up really well, definitely can be paddled with one person, though I struggled with it as I had shoulder surgery on my left shoulder a couple years back and the motion was as smooth as the right so I could paddle straight but that was me not the boat. It pumps up in 10-15 mins with the hand pump which isn’t to bad and deflates a bit quicker. It’s tricky to fold it right so it fits in the bag with all the stuff but you’ll figure it out, it fairly like considering it’s size and is easy to carry. I will likely invest in the trolling motor in the future as we don’t have to row it.

Great little boat
Great vessel. I got an electric motor for it and now having fun in my local harbor. If you get an electric motor put on it, it has to be registered at DMV. Before you head over to your local dmv, call the main office and talk to them. As we all know, local DMV office is full of lazy, dumb and uneducated individuals who refuse to do their job, so you are gonna get a run around like you have never had before! Your local DMV has to issue a VIN number and they have no idea how to do it, so will be sent to coast guard and also a place "where the sun dont shine". Go to DMV early enough and demand they call the main office to be explained how to issue a VIN number.

Beware of VM Express
I bought this a few months back and realized when we received it that it was leaking. VM Express agreed to refund my money if I cut out a piece of the boat and sent them the picture. I did all this and have been waiting for my refund since.I’ve contacted Amazon who called them on my behalf, they promised to fix it and that’s been over a month now.To summarize- the product was defective and almost 2 months later, I still don’t have a refund from them.

This is a big boat! Highly Recommend!
I am an outdoors kinda guy. Highly recommend this inflatable boat. There are so many different things you can do with it whether it be floating in the pool, down the river, or fishing lakes and reservoirs. Easily fits your cooler, fishing gear and a few people. Unfortunately I only got to test it in the pool with my 1 year old nephew (he loved it) before the first tornado i have ever seen in California took my 50 lb boat 100 yards into a barbed wired fence putting 8 holes in it. I only had the boat for 4 days. Would get another if i could. Sad about the boat but still brings joy how happy it made my nephew and myself for the short duration.
