Good computer, i would pay at most 250 for it. Lives up to expectations for price. Nice and fast. Good size.
This computer is great. Great price, good size. Nice display. Good keyboard. Laggy at first, but after an hour using it it will be fine. Great computer.Size and keyboard:size is good, 14inches. small enough to take around but not too small for your hands. Keyboard is nice, spacing between keys is good. Feels comfortable. Does not have number pad.Display and speakers:Display is pretty nice, especially for the price. Speakers are kind of crappy but plug some headphones in and you'll be fine.Mic and camera:Mic is good, works fine, nice and loud. Doesn't pick up backround noise. Camera is ok, but its a webcam so you can't really expect much.Speed and battery:Laggy at first, but works fine after about a half hour of use. Speed is pretty good, not amazing. Its what you would expect for the price. Battery life lives up to expectations. It lasted about 5 hours of constant use, with an essay written, games played, a skype call made, regular web surfing and music playing,

Complete waste of money
Don't know if I just happened to get a faulty product or it was damaged somehow in shipping(the screen frame was loose/not snapped onto the screen itself when I pulled it out of the box), but this particular computer's performance has been quite disappointing. This one runs worse than my 3 year old laptop (just before it crashed). From day one, it's been slow, very glitchy, and freezes often. I hoped it would maybe run better after the initial setup and with removing some of the (many) useless and unwanted apps it comes installed with, but it made no difference. Aside from how it functions though, the look and feel of the laptop is nice.Edit: After not even even three months, not just disappointed but now quite angry. This thing is crap. After automatically downloading new and 'improved' windows updates without permission, there is zero space left. I can't even uninstall anything without error messages saying there's not enough space! I already have next to NOTHING on it, just use it for internet. Probably fiddled with the wrong stuff in attempt to make room, but now many of the links and programs on it won't even open, won't even let me reset it to a restore point. Not super tech savvy obviously, but I've never had these kind of problems with computers previously. And now increasing issues with the sound and startup. While trying to play videos, the sound will either disappear, or every few minutes a loud buzzing will start, which causes everything to freeze until the computer automatically restarts itself. This time it shutdown suddenly and wouldn't restart for five plus minutes. A good old couple smacks and vehement cussing seemed to finally convince it to revive, for now. Barely three months old.

Slow and low memory, but good for the money
I needed a laptop, because I got tired of cell phones limitations, so I got this. I know i was getting what i payed for but if you don't, here you go. Its very slow in general even now, almost a week later. When I first received it, it was about 5 or 6 hours before I could use it due to updates, and my internet runs at over 100mbps download, however i assumed this was normal from start up, as i had never used and asus. And after it was finished updating, I couldn't connect to the internet for about 2 hours.-Speed: it's very slow even with 100mbps and a very good router, it will often just stop loading pages or videos even though my router gives me 100% connection in every room of my home.-Storage: it has 29.1G of usable storage built in, 14.3 of which is already taken up by the system, and I've been trying to delete an old version of Windows that takes 8G for about 20 minutes because I'm at 29.0 of 29.1 and i've only downloaded Chrome... and it still won't delete, but I continue to get notifications asking if I want to delete it, I also purchased a 128G sd card, which I had to to save anything at all.-Battery: Mine lasts for about 3 days, as i only use it a couple hours a night for things that are less convenient on my phone. This arrived well packaged and no flaws at all, the screen is plenty big enough and when videos load, they look very clear and great and the audio is actually quite nice. This does not have a light up keyboard, but i type well so no issue there. Very light and easy to take anywhere around the house.Low memory and being slow are it's downfall, but for the price it's great and does what i need it to.*Update, after 38 minutes, it finally deleted the previous version of windows... still slow.I would recommend getting this if you're on a budget or just need it for small things or hobbies like i do.

This notebook is expected to be slow as compared to i5 but it is great! An expansion slot for HDD for the 14" model and viewing is great. I really like the charger, really compact and so portable. Good for kids and normal surfing. Windows upgrade do clutter the space but u have to know how to manage it. Afterall, Asus has done a good job. I love it.
