First time owners of a swim-spa from Arctic Spa. After two weeks of careful use and pool maintenance of our new spa, I noticed that a "bathtub ring" of buildup that I cleaned off after each use. I ordered this ScumRay in hopes it would reduce the buildup. To my surprise, this little device made a huge difference. Almost no water line scum has built-up since I started using this ScumRay. The two pack lets me change out the product every week so I can keep one in use and one washed and dry for next week. Hope they last with proper care. So far, I am very pleased with their effectiveness.

The Scumray suction cup sticks very well to the side of the tub. I like the fact that the product came with separate ties in case the suction cup did not work on any particular tub. Looks great in the hot tub and is easy to clean. Highly recommend.

They seem to work. They look cool. We have one on the corner of our swim spa and wash it every couple of weeks. We rotate between the two. I really don't have a big buildup of scum so I guess this thing is doing its job.

Does catch some scum and make sit around the surface/edge to keep hot tub and swim spa pretty clear. Best part is made of material that easily allows use as a spot "scrubber" with no scratching when some dries on shell of tubs. Then just rinse clear with hose.

The seller was so nice. Had an issue (or thought I did) with it being stuck in customs at the canadian border. Talked to him and he replied within a few minutes, and later replied that it would probably be 3 days. Sure enough, it was updated to be about 3 days later. After that had issue with USPS (or so I thought), talked to seller and he informed me that sometimes they think it's signature required and they take it back to the post office. All was well though, it was in my mailbox, thought it was coming on an Amazon truck not USPS...my bad. Every single time though, great response time..polite and kind. Have one swimming around in my week old Bullfrog A7 right now, will update this if needed, but product looks high quality and feels that way as well.

I bought these mostly as a joke but did have a bathtub ring scum problem in my hot tub. Ever since I tied the two strings together and hung them over an adjustment knob so they float on the surface and the scum is gone.I swap new filters in every two weeks or so and at the same time hit the filters and my scum rays with a high pressure rinse. Scumrays go from grey to white outlines in 30 seconds. Back they go into the spa.Over a year old and look brand new.

I was using a Scumbug but the sponge always ended up in the weir filter housing and I was thinking that was not a good thing. Bought these for the string and suction cup but string seemed too short as the absorber would just stay by the side of the tub. Lengthened the string with some parachute cord and use both at the same time. I know the Scumbug would absorb oils so figure these will as well.
