I have been buying this marzipan regularly for the past few years. I use it in our weekly strudels (see strudel recipe and tutorial at [...]- [...] for pictures of this marzipan in use), and it is a joy to work with. It is always delivered quickly, fresh and delicious.This product is kosher: It is supervised by the OU, and pareve.I have tried ordering in larger amounts, but 5lbs stays fresh without getting dried out. 10lbs. dried out after a two months, despite being kept in an air-tight container. Smaller amounts weren't cost-effective, due to the price of shipping.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the advertised "made to order" marzipan. I was glad I tried it! One thing I was concerned about was the expiration date for "fresh" marzipan as opposed to "canned" marzipan. This fresh marzipan had an expiration date of more than 6 months after I received it.I am a professional baker, so I have to consider both quality and price when purchasing ingredients. In the future, I will be comparing the price difference between the Biermann and Roland marzipan to make my purchasing decision. They are both excellent quality.

I used to buy this every year, to make candies and cookies for holiday gifts. The flavor and texture were excellent, and my gifts were always a hit. I hadn't bought it in a few years, decided to bring back an old tradition. The price has dramatically increased, but I find that the flavor and texture have decreased. The nice pungency of almond is ''faded'', and the texture is pastier and not as fine. I haven't decided whether I will use it for gifts or not...

This is great marzipan. It is sweet but has a nice almond flavor, is soft and easy to roll out and has a nice color (not yellow/beige like some marzipan can be). It was perfect for covering my Christmas cakes.

I have been a marzipan fanatic for over 55 years. While there are finer and fancier marzipans, in my opinion, for the money, this is a very nice, dependable product. I buy a 5 pound wedge every year, and make candy gifts for family and friends, and always get compliments and cheers. If you are a serious gourmet, you might not care for it, but for most people, for general use, it is quite nice.

I buy this every year. This season I bought something different and ended up paying $38 for 7 oz of marzipan that tasted like a painted cake topper. Then I turned around and bought this after all and will not have it in time for the season now. =[ I should never have strayed!! I am sorry!!! Please forgive me! This is by far the best marzipan recipe I have ever used. We love it. Perfect sweetness, great price.

Way TOO sweet for the flavor.. Nothing like the marzipan I bought in Germany. I wasted the money.

I was so happy to find this marzipan in a 5lb size on Amazon. They made it fresh when ordered, and you can tell the difference from the dry tube at the supermarket. It had a delicious flavor and perfect texture! It was easy to mold and stayed fresh for quite some time when kept sealed. We were able to use a thick sheet inside our Christmas cake and molded pieces for fun decor and the family LOVED it! Highly recommended!
