HELPFUL before Purchase...
I purchased 12 skeins of the Bernat Maker Home Dec Yarn. Four in the Clay, 4 in the Cream and 4 in the Pebble Beach. The cream in thePebble Beach matches the regular Cream and the Clay color matches in gray in the Pebble Beach. I just finished a 6' x 4' afghan and absolutelyLOVE this yarn. It's very soft and glides through you fingers and hooks! I wish it cam in more colors!!!There are two things you need to know if you haven't used this yarn before & want to purchase:1. It is somewhat stretchy so may change crochet hook size down one if you have a tighter tension. I had to alter my pattern and skip some stitchesto get it to look like it should. 2. In every single skein I purchased there was a knot in the middle attaching two ends. Easy fix though...you just cut the knot out and start fresh asin changing colors or use Liquid Stitch or E-6000 to fortify the knot and hide it in your work. Either way, I was a little disappointed in the knots but ILOVE this yarn so much it didn't really matter.

Smelly and pieced together!
I have ordered this yarn from other places and bought in-store. These skeins were a mess. First, they stunk. I am not sure if it was from the packaging or what, but it was bad enough to cause a headache. Second, the yarn was pieced together in several sections. I have encountered a few sections tied together in a skein, but nothing like this! See the pictures. Ridiculous for yarn that should be high quality.

Love this yarn
Love this yarn. Super easy to work with. The material isn't like spun yarn. It's more like a fabric. Reminds me of the pull string on a hoodie. I made a blanket with it and I love it. It's stretchy and kind of heavy but not smothering. Worth the money.

Not a traditional yarn and a pleasure to knit
This Maker Home Decor Yarn from Bernat is unique and perfect for a 4 season afghan or throw. This is not traditional yarn. Instead, it is a knitted tube of T-shirt material. The fiber content is 72% cotton and 28% nylon so it's smooth and easy to knit and the nylon content keeps it from shrinking. It's a Bulky 5 weight. The recommended size knitting needles are 8mm or US size 11. The recommended crochet hook size is 8mm or US size L/11.I'm making a twin size blanket and I find this so nice to knit with. Because it is a smooth tube, there is no splitting of the yarn or fuzziness if you have to rip out some stitches. The resulting knitted fabric is not warm like wool so it's perfect for Texas weather. It's weighty when worked up and will be a nice, heavy top layer in colder months.I got the Pacific Variegated and it has faded blue gray, light aqua and pea green colors that knit into a pleasing camo pattern in cool, beachy colors. I purchased this yarn in the aqua solid to create a contrasting border and it matches perfectly. Also, I wasn't able to find enough in one dye lot so I got as many different dye lots as possible and the result is fine - probably because this is a variegated yarn.So far, I have only found one cut and tie in 3 skeins so the I'm pleased with the quality.

Very good yarn but expensive to order here
I love this yarn for crocheted blankets, hats and baby socks! It’s smooth, squishy and breathable. I’m a sucker for cotton and this is the comfiest cotton yarn for warm items. All my mommy friends love it. The stitch definition is gorgeous and easy for a beginner. It is, however, much more expensive here than in stores.

T-shirt yarn, great for market bags, afghans and home decor. Good for beginners.
This yarn is made of a T-Shirt fabric and is like a tube, that you crochet or knit. It glides fairly easy on a crochet hook. I used it with an 9mm hook for a softer result. If crocheted a with a smaller hook - the recommended 8mm it produces a nice tight knit that can be used to crochet really sturdy and pretty market bags or purses. It's great for dining mats, coasters, baskets etc and good for making blankets or afghans too.I purchases the cream color from Amazon and the rest I found cheaper on clearance in other stores. It's a fun yarn to crochet with in the summer as it does not warm the hands like wool and also good for beginners to learn as it's chunky but moves easily and they can "see" the stitches and work up a nice little coaster in no time at all.

Love this! Probably won’t want to go back to traditional yarn now
I love this yarn! I randomly saw in store and purchased more on amazon because it’s less expensive than in a craft store. It’s very soft, a t-shirt or jersey materiel and extremely easy t knit. This would be great for beginners as the yarn doesn’t split apart or get stuck/snapped on the knitting needles. I’ve made several scarves very quickly because it’s so easy to work with. I would definitely recommend!

A dream to work with!
I absolutely love this yarn - wonderful feel and just such a pleasure to work with. My fellow crafters have all mentioned that it's not like yarn they have seen or used before, like a delicate but strong woven tube. Makes very defined stitches with fabulous colouring. I'm using this for a Tunisian crochet project and it works up like a dream. I would highly recommend this yarn particular for cushions and the like.Edit: This is not a criticism of the yarn, but I thought it might be helpful for crafters to know that the colour changes very quickly in this yarn, just in case it isn't clear from the photos. Each colour lasts for about 2 inches, which works just beautifully for very simple stitches, but can look a little messy if you are going for a more textured stitch (like the Tunisian smock stitch, to which I can now personally attest does not look quite right! However, a solid triple crochet circle - for example - looks gorgeous).

Lovely quality but expensive
Easy to work with and you get a lot of wool in each skein. Knocking off a star because it's just so pricey and you can only get it in the USA. I wish I could find a UK stockist :(

Hummm.....
Very nice wool but had lots of ends that I had to tie together. Even with my best knots, I could see them in my project. Tieing balls together is one thin but have 4 plus end in one ball was disappointing and unexpected. Maybe it's my inexperience, but I have seen this with other wools. Lovely product though and great colour.

Gorgeous but expensive
I love working with this yarn. Its soft yet easy to work it. I've only bought it once with another colour to make a bag. It's just too darn expensive to get more. Maybe when I win lottery, I'll get tonnes of this.
