Very Good Product For The Price
After using this coral for several months I've decided to switch to 'True Blue' (scroll up for link) coral cal. instead and here's why. Both are fossilized grade from Okinawa. Other ingredients listed: NONE. However the 'Now' brand is actually 33.3% coral, the remaining 66.6% are 73 trace minerals. True Blue contains 147 grams of pure coral calcium. Now contains 57 grams. So the cost equates to relatively the same price per gram. What tips the scale is the absorbability factor. True Blue is eaiser to absorb. Both are tasteless, oderless and highly absorbable compared to cal-mag tablets. The cost is roughly 25 cents a day. Extremely affordable! The 'marine grade' I've used in the past is expensive comparitvely. Also I prefer the texture of the fossilized...it's lighter and not gritty. I take 1 gram disolved in 5 ounces of water soon after awaking, it's the first fluid I drink. 15 to 30 mins. after I drink half a grapefruit and half a carrot (blended) 50/50 with water and whole food meal and powders. The citric acid helps metabolize the calcium, making it more absorbable. If you mix the calcium into grapefruit juice it has a cabonating effect like soda...some may prefer this, I don't. Try it for youself. Other juices like V-8 might not have this effect. Personally I find fresh non-pasturised grapefruit juice to be a cut above the rest. Here's breakfast: 1 heaping tbls. each flax seed and kamut berry meals, half as much raw brown rice powder, 1 tsp. each acai powder and bee pollen, 1/2 tsp. each alfalfa seeds and spirulina powder, and Braggs liquid amino's mixed in the grapefruit/carrot juice, stir, stir and keep stirring...rinse and drink remaining contents as they tend to stick! If you use quality ingredients you should achieve warp-drive. I also eat 2 tbls. liquid organic coconut oil and fruit. Bananas and apples are best...avoid oranges as they promote fungal growth. Cost: less than $2 aday not including the fruit. My lunch starts with calcium bentonite clay, hence the 1 gram dosage of coral cal. works for me. I'm 6'1" 175 lbs. which is within my ideal weight. You want to use a dosage that is correct for your ideal weight so it takes some work to find your balance point. Good Luck,
S**.
Trustworthy company, top quality product
There are several reasons I chose Now Foods coral calcium and I haven't been disappointed.1. I trust the Now brand. Everything I have bought from them is top quality.2. Coral calcium is an excellent source of calcium. Coral contains roughly 33% calcium and 74 different trace minerals. This product has extra coral-extracted calcium added to make it more concentrated.3.It's tested for heavy metals and radioactive elements. There are no hidden, undesirable fillers or ingredients.I make my own alternative to antacid tablets using this calcium and Now Foods Magnesium Citrate powder and I find that just one tablet works better than 10, 20, or any number of the popular antacid tablets (which I won't name). I came up with my own alternative because the name brand tablets changed their original calcium carbonate recipe and included a number of ingredients I need to avoid. I call them 'Fizzers".For those who might be interested:FIZZERS 1/2 cup coral calcium powder 1/4 cup magnesium citrate powder 1 to 2 Tblsp melted organic extra virgin coconut oil 1 Tblsp raw, organic honey a few drops peppermint essential oilMix coconut oil and honey together.Add calcium first, then magnesium.Add peppermint last. blend thoroughly.Roll out and cut into tablets before it cools.Store in airtight container.(Sometimes I add 1 Tblsp organic cocoa powder with the calcium.)My coral calcium tablets do much more than provide daily calcium or calm an acid stomach. They help reduce pain levels when I have a migraine. That is a big deal to me!

If you have GERD...
I've been using this product based on the recommendation of a friend who assured me that it would help relieve my acid reflux, and IT HAS! Cannot rate the flavor because there is none. It will line the inside of your glass no matter how well it is stirred, so that must be what it does once inside your tummy, too. Have used it nightly for perhaps six months and now only when I feel a need, which is seldom. Highly recommended. I am NOT a doctor.

5 Stars
I just received this product today and wanted to test it to make sure I wasn't ripped off and in about 6 oz's of distilled water with a ph reading of 6 I dropped a 1/2 tsp in it started dissolving I stirred very little and put my meter back in the glass and it had went all the way to 9.8 a few more seconds and it was at 10.1 so I drank it down and I got to say it does one thing that it claims boost your ph will finish this in a couple of weeks after taking it.3/21/17

I thought I ordered capsules and received this and Wasn’t sure what to do, just mixed it with milk and drank it. Not good with many other things. Works like it says, poor choice on my part. Capsules easier

Coral Calcium
This is my second order of NOW coral calcium powder. I had read that it provides a more alkaline effect to my diet. I began by using it to alkalize ALL the water I drink during each day, but wound up using 1/2 tsp. and a bit of lemon juice in my first 8 oz. of water each morning. I am very happy with the delivery and the price of this product, and I expect to continue ordering it through Amazon.com.

VERY HAPPY. No side effects. very good product
Very good if there is an imbalance of calcium. As we know it is important to have a correct ratio between calcium and magnesium otherwise incontinence and arthritis and and and all occur.
