My original review follows this revision.After having worn the shoes that were not Nappa leather a couple of times, I found that they very quickly softened up and were as comfortable as the Nappa ones. I've walked many miles in these shoes and they are perfect for sightseeing in Europe, or wandering around the local farmer's market. Because of this, I am upgrading my previous review to a 5 star, since I cannot think of any similar slip-on shoes that are more comfortable than these. Just FYI, my feet are narrow, but wider at the toes and these shoes do not cramp my toes like many other styles do. If you have a similar foot, buy them and enjoy!Original review:I purchased a pair of these in Nappa leather at a store earlier this year and they were wonderfully soft...almost like soft slippers and I love wearing them, especially when traveling and any other time I need to do a lot of walking. My feet are narrow, but wider at the toes, so I put in a full sole insert and they are extremely comfortable.A few months later, the store no longer had them, so I ordered them from Amazon. I LOVE Amazon.com and am happy with 99.9 percent of the things that I order. Going on my great experience with Amazon, I ordered a pair of these shoes just before leaving on a month long trip. I did this because I was concerned that they would run out of them before I returned. After returning home, I expected them to be just like the others. I was surprised to find that they were the same loafer, but not made of the soft Nappa leather. Instead, they were a stiffer, less comfortable, leather. Unfortunately, I was away longer than a month, so I could not return them. The fact that I was out of town, exceeding the return time was my own fault, so I did not pursue it with Amazon, even though they were not made of the leather stated in the description.This is important for those wishing to get wonderfully soft shoes. They may end up with significantly stiffer, but still relatively flexible, ones. I plan to wear the stiffer ones with socks when I am not going to do a lot of walking and not when I need extra soft Nappa leather ones.I am hoping that Hush Puppies will make these again in the soft Nappa leather because they are my favorite walking loafer/slip-on shoe. I gave 4 stars because they are still a good shoe; however, I would place the Nappa ones at 5 stars and the stiffer ones at a 3...hence, the rating.

I like everything about this shoe except for the fact that it's not comfortable. I have a high instep, and, although the length and width are perfect for me, the elastic at the sides makes the instep too tight. I think people who don't have this issue with the shape of their foot will be very happy with this shoe, but if you have a high instep, this model probably isn't for you.

I actually bought these for my Mom. She's had the same pair of shoes for SO long and they were slowly starting to break down. Seeing that, I decided to have them replaced. The thing she likes best about them is that there is no "breaking in" period. They are comfortable from minute one. Shoe is very well made. She loves them and I'm glad she does. Thanks Hush Puppy people for making my Mom's feet so happy!

They fit, the only pair of black loafer style shoe I could find online in a wide. I'm not crazy about how they look, but C'est la vie. They fit and I use by GUARD Quality Heel Plates on them to keep the heels from wearing out faster than the actual shoe does. I probably don't need to do this as I have an older pair of these that were inadvertently ordered in a WW instead of W. I didn't realize they were a WW for a couple of years. [Duh!] After 2 years of wearing them for 3 or 4 days a week, the heels still were worn down only a tiny bit. And, I'm pretty sure, these heels are not those horrible hollow ones which, once they wear through, are irreparable no matter what you do. All in all, decent shoe with a very good heel that looks okay, but certainly not very fashionable, but very comfortable indeed.

I've been searching hi and low for the "Heaven" HP in brown. I use the 6.5 W. I probably could have gotten away with a Regular, but sometimes, I will wear a thicker sock. When I was chubbier, these fit perfectly, so they are true to size, at least for me. I will continue to wear these until they no longer make them. They are comfy and have pretty good arch support. They are leather, so they will eventually stretch, but that's usually my cue to order another pair.

The first time I wore them the edge of the black lining peeled off and also stained and ruined my stocking.I was extremely disappointed in these shoes that I will not be able to wear.Too late to return now, too bad I didn’t try them when they first arrived. I have always been satisfied with Hush Puppy shoes in the past.
