This is even better than I expected. I did not notice in the photos that it has two spots on the back to hook an over the shoulder/cross-body strap too, or that it came with one (at least mine did), I thought it just had the wrist band, which concerned me that wouldn't be sturdy enough (I think it will work if you keep it light).I love that you can use the longer strap though, so when I am carrying multiple things I don't have to also have my bag dangling off my arm.It is the perfect size, not too big, not too small. I have three small wallets (one with IDs, med cards, stuff I randomly need; one with CC's; and one specifically for gift cards so I don't have to carry a large wallet or have cards roaming around a pocket in a purse). The three small wallets easily fit on one side of the zipper middle pocket. Two of the wallets have air tags on them, and I think I could still easily fit my work phone on that side (iPhone 13 Pro), the other side I have a pair of fold-up reading glasses and plenty of room for my personal phone (iPhone 15 pro max) and my keys.Just got it last night so can't speak to durability but appears really well made, so think it will hold up well. I am in love with it!

I was surprised by the texture and quality. It's not going to fool anyone who knows anything about leather, but it's not shiny and fake looking. It also comes with pockets--even one with a zipper for extra security--which is something I have never seen in a book shaped purse.

Beautiful and sturdy book purse. Got a lot of compliments. My cell and wallet fit perfectly inside of it. Zipper is smooth.

Bought this specifically for the Edgar Allen Poe Speakeasy in Charlotte, and it was perfect. Slightly bigger than I imagined, which was perfect because everything I needed and my phone fit! Definitely will use it again, and recommend. But remember it is printed, so it will flake/crack if not taken care of/handled with care.

It’s really cute and I get lots of compliments it’s a good size, it’s stylish and unquestionably unique, it’s great quality. People always ask where I got it, if you love Poe this purse is for you, the only draw back is that it does fade a bit around the corners as described in other comments.

My husband and I attended an Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy event, and since we go all out with our attire and costumes for every themed event we attend, I absolutely had to have this purse as the highlight of my outfit, which was inspired by Poe's "The Raven." Our outfits and my purse were the hits of the evening! From the moment we arrived cast members came up to us to compliment our attire and make comments about my purse (one of them made a point to come up three different times to say that I was the "stuff of [his] nightmares," an absolutely perfect compliment for a Poe event...lol). After the show numerous people wanted to take photos of us and with us, and multiple people made a point to ask me to be sure to hold up the purse in photos. We also got some great and completely unexpected photos with the actress who performed "The Tell-Tale Heart," who came up to us and said, "I never do this but, out of respect for your costumes, I want to pose with you."My point in sharing all of this is to show that a purse doesn't have to be as expensive as a Mary Frances bag (which I'll admit I love and collect) or be covered in rhinestones to be a showstopper, and this purse is definitely a showstopper. It's perfect for a Poe or literature themed event but is also cool enough to carry whenever you feel like it, theme or no theme. I wouldn't suggest using it every day, however, because it arrived with a the color worn off in a few very tiny areas -- not big enough to notice but it did make me suspect that this purse would start looking worn pretty quickly if used on a regular basis. Still, it's perfect and fun to use here and there, and it's sturdier than some of the purses I've bought to use with costumes or themed attire.Seriously, if you want a cool purse for an event, as a conversation starter, or just to have something fun and different, this is the perfect purse. Buy it. You won't regret it!

I went on a whim and bought this to go with my oina board wallet and I love it. It's not a super stiff purse which I love. It does glow in the dark. And it's hold everything I need it too with better access. I had a Harry Potter trunk purse that was a pain in the ass to get into all the time and never stayed upright when I just sling it over my shoulder. This purse is everything I hoped it'd be
