Dentemp Temporary Cavity Filling Mix - 1 App

I used it to fill a cavity. The product came the first day of the promised delivery window. The amount contained in the package is more than enough to fill one cavity. The instructions suggest mixing the whole amount of the powder, but using half of the recommended amount could allow you to save it for another tooth or refill of the same tooth. It's cheap enough to just order another application, but I'm kind of a cheapskate. However, after a week of the application, it seems the filling really isn't going anywhere anytime soon!For a filling, the putty should be mixed quite dry, dry enough to roll it up in a ball that does not stick to your fingers, apply to a dry tooth, and shape it a bit. That means DON"T GO OVERBOARD WITH THE CEMENTING GLUE! Add about 4-5 drops, mix, and if still too dry, at more drops in increments of 2 & mix until it begins to ball up. The stuff is bitter!! And it will continue to be bitter at least until fully dry, which takes about an hour. The color dries to a bright white, and if you don't have really pearly whites, you will see a difference in color that you may not be happy with. I used it for a molar so it wasn't a big deal for me.Overall, I don't think I will need the product again, but I would recommend it to others. Never tried the Dentemp products that are sold in stores, so I can't compare.

This is a life saver. Broke a crown clinching my teeth in my sleep and needed to buy time to find a reputable/local dentist.I gave it only 4 stars because I couldn't get the site to select 4.5. The deduction of half of a start is for timing and dry time. You have to let it cure for at least an hour after you mix it and put it in place. I have a crazy schedule so it posed challenges. Other than that tiny inconvenience, it was just amazing and lasted 4-6 weeks.(Probably closer to 6. I lost track of time.)

I found that this product does a good job of fixing a damaged tooth when a dentist is not available.The process is a little messy and can be difficult to master if you lack focus and/or skills.The end result is a material durable enough to last up to several months, depending up to how careful an eater / tooth brusher you are.I would recommend buying 3 packs, so that you have a reserve in case you mess it up.I used one successfully, then bought another as backup.Good luck!

In my case, it just depends upon the crown I'm trying to glue back in. On some crowns the glue holds for weeks--even months, while others fall out within a day or two. On average, it performs pretty much as the manufacturer suggests. No major complaints, though be advised this is by no means a permanent solution for the repair of a lost crown. I've never used this product to glue fillings, so I cannot address the effectiveness of Dentemp Custom for that purpose.

I was in a lot of pain when I made this purchase in hopes that I could just plug up the cavity until I can afford a dentist. But one thing you don't see in the picture is the warning on the back that says to not use this product if you are experiencing swelling and extreme pain. I'll keep it if I need it later, but I wouldn't have made the purchase had I seen the back of the package.

For me Dentex Custom is working great, getting the correct mixture was kind of a pain but once I got the putty like texture required the stuff is holding up pretty darn good. The taste is pretty strong and really leaves your tongue feeling somewhat numbed but the end result is what really matters. I was fixing a lost filling and it's actually holding up to chewing on it!. I don't know how good it works for caps. I tried Dentex Temparin Max first ( the pre-mix stuff in the purple tube ) and was really disappointed with that as it wouldn't stay in for more than a day and you couldn't chew on it as it had the consistency of chalk I believe that I swallowed most of that product. I put the Dentex Custom in about 2 weeks ago and it's still there so if your in need of a quick fix spend the little extra put up with the mixing process and I'm sure you'll be happy with the results.

Used this when I was overseas in Afghanistan and had a filling come out. No chance of any safe dentistry for at least 2 - 3 months - so this did the trick. Found that this would "fall out" every 2 weeks or so - but did the job of keeping the filling hole filled and prevented further decay & problems until I got back to the states!Suggest this be packed in any travel to 3rd world countries - just in case!

I had root canal years ago and never got a crown. I hate going to the dentist. Truth be told id rather have my foot cut off than sit in a dentist chair. My tooth finally cracked and the pain was starting to bother me. I do not have dental insurance so I searched amazon( my trusty back up ) and found this. Let me tell you this is the only stuff that works. I put it on ( what was left of my tooth ) and it stayed on for 3 months ! No pain. Granted I don't chew on that side of my mouth but still no pain. I love this stuff. So now after 3 months I need to order more. I know I need to see a dentist but for now this will have to do. It came quickly and works like a charm. Very highly recommends

I will not buy ever ever ever again. Yes the product works but its disgusting. I have had it in my mouth for 24 hours now and the taste is making me feel sick.I have had a root canal done (badly) on a fewof my teeth and one of the top parts of the filling had fallen out. The avoid damaging the tooth I bought this.which it has worked for the purpose but I think I would prefer it to fall out now so I can use a flavoured version.

only used the once, but was satisfied with result.
