Electrolux 134557201 Frigidaire Control Board

I have a Frigidaire Affinity AEQ6000ES2 dryer. It's about 12 years old. Recently it started getting an 'E68' error code on the digital display. It would just randomly light up the board, beep frequently, and unplugging/plugging the dryer didn't make any difference. Long story short: it was either a stuck button or a bad board. I put the board into Service Diagnostics Mode and then did the button test. I noticed immediately that the entire row of lights for the Dryness button were solid on, but the button itself clicked no problem. Obviously a bad switch connection to the control board OR a bad control board believing the Dryness button was being continuously pressed.The part number on my OEM board was 134599900. It took me a while Googling and reading to come to the conclusion that this 134557201 board was a direct replacement for 134599900. Someone else had posted a similar question as well, so I felt good about buying this.Received it in great condition, definitely LOOKS like a brand new (not refurbished) board. I replaced everything in about 30 minutes and so far the dryer has not had any further error codes or issues. That was nearly six days ago. I'm very happy with the purchase and this part.A few notes for people who are interested in replacing this piece:•Check out YouTube for videos on how to to remove the top panel of the dryer and which screws (all four of them) to remove to remove the control panel and control board.•I ended up having to break the plastic clip that held the bundle of wires to the original control board housing. Wasn't a big deal, as they kind of held themselves in place when I put the new control board and housing in.•The red/black power wires on your original control board MAY be crimped fairly tight to the spade connectors of the relay, which itself is soldered to the control board. Tip: Get a narrow/needle nose pliers and grip the METAL connector of the wire itself, and with your thumb of your free hand press down on the black relay. Gently rock the pliers/wire little by little while pulling straight up to release it from the spade connector of the relay. Otherwise you run the risk of damaging the crimp of the wire itself.

Was upset cause I got the extended warranty on my dryer and surprise surprise it stopped working right when it expired. Manufacturer said they could send somebody to check it out but that by itself was gonna be 80 bucks on top of parts and labor for whatever they found out was the problem. I decided to try and figure out what the problem was using the dryers diagnostic check. Found out it was a bad control board so I ordered one and it was shipped right away and was a breeze to swap out. Gave me a lot of personal satisfaction fixing it myself. Would definitely recommend this part for anyone in the market for one.

Perfect fit, correct part no. Dryer works like new. Only gave it 4 stars because there were no instructions on how to remove the selector switch interface adapter. Thank goodness I'm an engineer and was able to figure it out.

This board fixed my dryer issue. It took a little time to install, but installation wasn't too bad. The cost of the board was around $170. The cost to get a service tech to come to the house was going to be $100 and that cost didn't even cover anything to actually fix it dryer. I'm sure this was less than half the cost of having a service tech repair it.

It was a little sorta tricky getting this installed, as there are some plastic pins that have to be transferred from old to new that transfer the button press to the actual device. However, take it slow, pay attention to what you're doing, and all will go well. I promise. It's been installed for three months now and it's still working great, pleased with the purchase.Any moderately crafty person can pop the skin off the dryer and get this installed with a little patience and a screwdriver.

It was easy to replace, turned out to be the problem out of two suggestions from Sears. Although I am very disappointed in my dryer for breaking already and won't be buying another Frigidaire washer/dryer product, this did the trick. Unit itself is under 5 years old and already stopped working. As did the washer... control/mother board problem as well. So I assume this control board will break in a couple years. Way to make a "great" product, Kenmore. Boo!

Before you buy this, make sure that you did the proper protocol to recieve the error message from the dryer. This item was for my Affinity Dryer from 2010, it was easy to install (with you tube) but make sure that it is the control panel that is wrong. My dryer works great, this item was as advertised.

I had an E68 error code on my 12 year old Frigidaire Affinity dryer (model AEQ6000ES2). Following the instructions taped inside the dryer at the bottom (or online), I set the dryer into diagnostics mode. It showed one of the buttons was stuck but measurements indicated it was fine. I ordered a new controller board but it had a defect. I did an exchange and the second controller board looked good. It was installed and after 3 dryer loads, it seems to be working fine. However, I cannot get the dryer into the diagnostics mode using the same instructions. It's possible the newer firmware on the controller board requires a different sequence or the diagnostic mode is no longer there.
