Frances Lincoln Children's Books The Great Big Body

I purchased this book for my 4 yr old granddaughter. I had 2 children, her mother and another daughter but she has since started the transition into transgender. Nia, my grand, started asking questions and I refused to lie to her. But I was also concerned about the affect it would have on her. I researched ways to introduce the subject and a child psychologist recommended this book. This book is amazing! It covers the shapes, sizes, skin tones, gender, from young to elderly in a way that is easy for the child to understand.

Fantastic book

This book is okay. Depends on the views and values of the family. Some of the messages being communicated are not for our family. It talks about how some people don’t know if they are boys or girl etc. I just wanted a book to talk about th body. I didn’t expect a book to project it’s views onto my child. Not pleased at all with the messaging.
