Some soldering; perfect replacement
I had a cheap Gemsound microphone that died and was considering just replacing the whole system, but found this item and thought I'd give it a try replacing the capsule once I determined that it was the problem. I hadn't done much soldering before, but it was surprisingly easy to remove the old one and solder the new capsule to the microphone. The capsule fits perfectly and is a direct replacement for the old one. The sound quality also improved so if you also have a Gemsound microphone that's died, consider replacing the capsule with this one.

Not a direct replacement for SM58
The media could not be loaded. The capsule is a different size and shape from the stock capsule, including how it mounts. It will probably work if you cut out the original shock mount rubber

Doesn't fit
These do not fit my SHURE SM 58, cordless microphone. It's too big to slide into the handle. Cannot comment on the sound quality, but on comparing the build of these to the original capsule, I really do not expect to be happy, but I will try a modification and update.
