L'Oreal Paris Preference Permanent Luminous Hair Colour, 8.624 Bright Red

I've dyed my hair red for over six months, this is one I hadn't tried yet. I watched a YouTube video to get an idea of the intense colour. The product is a cream and a runny gel that is mixed together, so the final mixture is a little runnier than I'm used to. So as little goes a long way.. It stains the skin, so Vaseline on the hair line is recommended,And baby wipes to clean all you go. The product does make the eyes sting a little so make sure your in a well ventilated room. Leave for 30 mind then rinse well. The after care conditioner is excellent.. It's in a long tube and has about four applications.. As my hair is just below my ears. The colour is nice but not as red as I was expecting. My hair has been bleached though, so doesn't hold red dye well.

Literally the best hair dye i have ever used , so easy just tip the liquid into the bottle and shake , then screw of the tip and dye . And the gloves actually fit perfect , and best of all fantastic colour that lasts , what more can you ask well done loreal outstanding ...

Easy to apply to dry hair, then just wait the recommended time and wash out. Bright red hair. Great.

Before arriving I didn’t realise this has bleach in. Being my first experience with bleach I didn’t know what to expect so READ IF YOU HAVENT DONE BLEACH ECT. I have been dying my hair for over a year now with permanent and semi permanent dye so used to that. The instructions are really easy- get everything you need, the gloves aren’t great but they do if that’s all you have . The smell tho- they say to do in well ventilated area- I did in a bathroom with the fan on. when I say the smell- it got to the point my partner had to keep spraying air freshener to avoid me puking. If you have a garden do it on a windy day and you still may need a person with scent spray. When washed out the colour is awful and orange- honestly thought I’d ruined my hair. TRUST ME: no matter how bad it looks I promise it’s fine, had a full Menty b thinking I would have to shave my head but once dryed it was perfect. For colour photos attached- I got scared of bleach so left it in for 25 mins max instead of 30 mins- not the bright cooour advertised but still great. Overall great price value for money but oh god you need to be prepared for the smell

I've been using this brand and colour for years. The colour is perfect, my hair always feels in great condition after using it and it covers my greys. I'm naturally brunette but it goes a lush red colour on the roots, and really does stay that vibrant red. On my ends, it doesn't last as long but I don't expect it to since red is one of the hardest colours to maintain. So I use a semi-permanent dye now again on my end to spruce it up, or just let it fade naturally which gives my hair a more ombre look. (See the photo's of different stages of vibrancy). I never pre-lighten my hair and always get a beautiful shade of red. I recommend using a clarifying shampoo the day before you plan to dye your hair so that it strips the build up of products, giving you a cleaner surface for the dye!
