It's a battery! It works. Comes with three differently sized screwdrivers. Replaced on my OG 3DS with no issues.

I'm a big softie for my old 3DS – it's somewhere around 12 years old at this point. I noticed a while back that the back plate was bulging, and my system clock kept resetting to 1/1/2011. I did a bit of research, and turns out my original battery was out of date. Extremely out of date. Explosion risk out of date. Ordered this as soon as I could, and its been a life saver. Works just as well as the Nintendo battery did, if not better. It comes with the screwdrivers to do the repair yourself, and the process is quite straightforward: remove the old, worryingly bloated battery and the new one slips right into place. Console fits back together like new. Holds its charge amazingly – mine gets somewhere around 6-8 hours of game time off a full charge, and it's been around a year after the repair. I'd say if you have an original 3DS lying somewhere, and you haven't been giving it the love it deserves, freshen it up with this new battery.

Overall good price and value for your buck box comes with the battery a charger and 3 sets of Phillips screws. Battery fit exactly for my 3Ds and came half charged so you don’t have to wait and see if it works you’ll know immediately. So far the quality of the battery has been good I haven’t noticed any crash draining while playing.

Got this because I was in a pinch to replace my original 3DS battery that had become bloated (and thus a major fire hazard). Thankfully this kit comes with all you need to replace it, including specially sized screwdrivers and even an extra charging cable if you need one. In terms of performance, it's... okay I guess. It lasted about two and a half hours of gameplay and a half hour of sleep mode before my 3DS gave me the "low battery, please charge" warning. Looking up the official stats, my model of 3DS is meant to have 3-5 hours of battery life, so this *technically* passes, it's just not spectacular. If you're like me and needed the whole kit with the screwdrivers, it may be worth it for the convenience. If you're just in need of the battery though, I'd suggest looking elsewhere for better performance.

Works great I found my 3DS after so many years that I remember that I had a really bad battery so I watched a simple YouTube video and all you really have to do is just unscrew it and swap the battery and screw it back in. It’s that simple. I don’t use the 3DS often to post on my PSP because I don’t have games for it, but after not using it for months, the battery is still holds power I obviously on it sometimes on occasion just in case

Pretty good, perfect fit for the og 3ds. Also, super easy to install. I literally just loosened two screws(the battery comes with the screwdrivers that are necessary), the back plate of the 3ds popped off, and the battery came right out. Almost like changing batteries on a tv remote. NOT compatible with the newer models, obviously. I was just looking for a solid battery since the original one was dying on me. I'd recommend this one, but I need more time to really test it. No issues so far.

coming with the screwdrivers was such a nice touch, thank you so much for this. my original 3ds battery lasted maybe five mins off the charger and had begun to swell and stress the housing. this gives my 3ds some hours of charge like its new again and i've been having a blast getting back in touch with all my games. also, i was really afraid to do this fix myself at first, but its super easy. the housing on the ds is simple and the battery is labelled great, it was perfect. again, the little screwdrivers??? thank you soooo so much.

Esta es la segunda batería que compro de la misma marca y modelo. la primera se termino inflando y la carga a lo mucho duraba 2 horas o menos. Decidí darle otra oportunidad y esta ya exagerando llega a las 3 horas de carga. No recomiendo que la compren. Yo juego con el wifi apagado y con brillo 4/5. Si viviera en USA pediría la devolución de mi dinero. NO COMPREN ESTA MARCA DE BATERIA.

Product says it's for a 2ds/3ds but is too small to fit my standard size 3ds. Check your dimensions physically, don't make the same mistake I did.

La batería sirve en cuanto a tamaño y compatibilidad con la nintendo 3ds clásica. Cumple el propósito, la batería original que traía mi consola de fabrica se hinchó con los años. Con esta batería pude darle una segunda vida a mi consola.

My old 11 year old battery in my 3ds lasted longer than the new one as shown in the test. The only reason I’m not giving it a 1 is because it works at least.
