Where no pliers have gone before!
These... hog ring pliers... truly embody the spirit of exploration and innovation! With each squeeze, I felt a connection to the very fabric of the universe, binding materials together as if forging new alliances between distant galaxies. Their ergonomic design fits snugly in my hand, allowing for precise control in the heat of battle... or should I say, in the midst of the toughest fastening challenges. These pliers, my friends, are more than tools; they are a testament to the human (and Klingon) spirit's unrelenting quest for mastery over the unknown.

Good solid quality. Has a really nice feel to it
Looking at the picture, I presumed them to be fairly cheap, but I opened the package and was pleasantly surprised. Very nice quality feel to it. Easy on the hand, so using to build a cage or attach wire to an animal enclosure will not be so bad on my hands. See ads for the automatic feeding hog ring pliers, but looked like it would end up being more trouble than it was worth. In this case, I can see that the quality of these single clip pliers will be far better, and far less of a headache. Clipping the 3/4 rings is extremely easy, and you can tell they are clamped on hard. I also ordered some 1/2 rings, which seem just as easy and strong

Good but basic
1st time to use hog rings or this type of tool. I was able to rebuild my driver's seat with these. I used these with 3/8" rings to reattach the seat cover after adding a lumbar support and more lateral padding. Overall, I give it 7 out of 10 without having anything to compare it to. It's not a 10 because it didn't hold the 3/8" rings the way that I expected and it took multiple tries and failures to reattach the seat cover. I don't know if that's normal or not.

good product
Works with removing the old seat cushion in my truck and putting the new cushion and seat covers on. Definitely needed. Works great.

it worked as well or better than hoped for
Thought about putting 4 stars because it's nothing special, but I can't do that, it worked as well or better than hoped for. I used it for one seat upholstery installation so far, so it hasn't had time to rust or for the spring to wear out... That said, it holds hog rings well, and I could even use it sometimes to force a pointed tip through my upholstery before securing the ring. Occasionally it would pop off the hog ring while attempting that, but it's not meant for the purpose, so I can't be disappointed with that. Glad I bought this budget tool and not something more expensive - for the amount of work I expect to do with them.

EZ to use I like the spring in the handle.

Cheaply made but does the job
These pliers aren't elegant. They're pretty much the minimum needed to squeeze a ring. The good news is that they worked perfectly to put the upholstery back on my van seat. I didn't have any rings slip out, and I could get the pliers into tight places without issue. I have tried to do this job before with regular pliers and re-used rings. That was unpleasant. Using these pliers and rings was pleasant; fun actually. I highly recommend this set as a good value that does its intended job perfectly.

The pliers are cheaply made and a little stiff, but they're adequate. The hog rings are junk
I'm a professional automotive technician, and have used a few different sets of high quality pliers. These pliers definitely pale in comparison, but they work fine. They are cheaply but and a little stiff, but seem as though they will hold up to any demand put on them when closing hog rings. I've used them for a half dozen upholstery jobs and they suffice. The hog rings, on the other hand, are not work their weight. The tips aren't cut correctly to slide past each other when closing the hog ring. So most of the time the tip hit each other and bend the wrong way rather than closing to a uniform size. This leads to having to cut them back out and try again, hoping you get a good one. I threw them in the trash and bought another box to get work done. The pliers are acceptable but I wouldn't encourage anyone to by this kit with the hog rings included.
