U-Step II Walker Black with Seat, Basket and Laser Light

This is pricey but worth it. I have Parkinson''s, so I am prone to falling. This 'unit is extremely stable, solving this problem. By default, the unit is locked, so it won't start rolling away if you're not watching it. When you squeeze the handle it goes, which is very intuitive, unlike other units I've seen. It also is great absorbing shocks as you travel. The seat is sturdy,, and I use it a lot to carry things. The only negative is that occasionally. I have to travel cross country, so it would be nice if the wheels were bigger. However for indoors or normal outdoor surfaces it can't be beat. Its weight is about 25 pounds, more than reasonable.

Got the one with the laser light. It motivates the patient to step over the line and get them moving again. What looks like bike hand brakes on the handles actually works the opposite way. You go when you squeeze them and stop when you release. This is so that when you start moving, it can’t get away from you; it stops instantly on release. Nice seat that opens to contain your stuff- glasses, tv remotes, etc. Glow in the dark tape strips near rear wheels. So far it’s been great! Another reviewer mentioned that her dad’s wheels flattened so it couldn’t roll forward. I suspect he didn’t get the hang of squeezing the handles to go and just tried pushing it along. Wheels won’t turn if you don’t squeeze the handles.

Very well made, but heavy. This walker is sturdy, well made, and the design is well thought-out. Does not have a tendency to "run away" from you like typical wheeled walkers. 7-wheel design sort of wraps around you while you are walking. Unfortunately, the steel frame makes this walker very heavy to lift and get into a car. My wife and I together are unmable to lift it into a car without a struggle. If the frame material were lighter (maybe titanium) I would have given it 5 stars.

I am on the walker and it’s a real aid for me especially when I’m indoors and I’m trying to move around inside or when I am going to church or the store. It’s a great product to help me with my stride so I don’t shuffle my feet or have a problem with my feet freezing in place. It’s a great product for Parkinson’s patients.

It was recommended by our neurologist to purchase this product for my husband who has freezing gait. Unfortunately, it falls short of our expectations. This is disappointing because of the high price tag associated with the purchase.

Sturdy, good quality walker. The laser and counter worked well for me. This model had several useful features such as either hand brake works both brakes and its design is more stable. . The only negative is that it is heavier then the typical walker (20 lbs). Its best feature is the speed control adjustment.

This works very well. The laser light ready works.
